Well,... feeling much better this morning. Checked the MINIUSA OL and we have a VIN and are scheduled for production. I suppose it's time to start calling in to get a day by day status.

I've been following this thread for a while now. I am part of the 1/10 group. My MINI Cooper (MC VR/B CVT w/ Premium, Cold, HK, foglights, 16" runflats, sport seats, anthracite, panther black cloth/black door casting) was built on 01/05/03 and is also on the AIDA boat. Final destination Chicago.

I have really enjoyed this thread, its kept me busy while waiting for my MINI. But at the same time, after reading all the possible issues with the CVT transmission, has me a little worried. But I'm still very excited about getting the car.

Actually, I haven't taken delivery yet....but hope to be motoring a week from today. <fingers crossed>

When not motoring, my MINI will be safely tucked away in a heated, underground garage where you park your car yourself (not by the valets in the above-ground portion of the garage). I would recommend that you look into near-by garages. MINIs attract a lot of attention, and some of it is not always positive. There are also some cold weather related issues that may or may not affect you, such as nav system screen going bonkers under 37 degrees and ice build up around doors (resulting in doors not opening).

This is the most frustrating thing. I went to the Track Your Baby site to see if the VIN is there and find this. GRRRRR!!!!

The waiting is the hardest part.

I envy all of you! I'm here in Germany, and through military car sales all we get is a manufacture date. When they want the money we get a VIN and when the car gets to the dealer we get a call. No key chains, Stuffed animals, unauthorized manuals, T-shirts, tooth brushes or 007 special codes!!! I wish my dealer paid as
much attention to me as yours does.

Just another observation, we're only Pepper White and Velvet Red, the "rare" colors, kinda cool, huh!....just my 2 coconuts worth

Huh? We haven't gotten anything from Mini or our dealer... My wife is hoping for a plush Cooper to go along with her plush Battleship Missouri, plush 747, and plush NYPD car. How do I get my goodies????

Actually I am VR/W, we have three of the coolest MINI's. VR/VR, VR/B and VR/W to bad we can not get a picture of all three. The three color options all together would be really cool to see. Will send a picture of CheckerStripe's and my MINI together.

On Friday, I called askMINI and was excited about reaching status 160, a week ahead of time! With askMINI closed on the weekends and knowing that Oxford is on a 24-7, I sought our OL. I'm now at:

Status 182, Released to Carrier (Awaiting Transportation)

Okay, where do I go to with my VIN number to get my ship?
