Just had adriancl tune my car....two thumbs up!
I've been seeing lots of people throwing adriancl's name around here as far as tuning goes. It sounds like Jan is off the reservation, and Adrian has stepped up to help those of us out who need a new tune. I reached out to him, and he was very quick to reply.
I ordered the MPPS V18 OBD harness and software off of ebay for around $50 if I remember right. As soon as I got it, I installed it on my laptop and pulled the current tune file off of my DME (Way Motorworks Quick Tune) and sent it off to Adrian. The Quick tune did what it was supposed to do....it got my car running pretty good with the new Bosch 380cc injectors I installed a few years ago. The only real complaint I had with that tune was that it was really rich on the top end...like 10.5 AFR rich. Safe....but not great for make power.
The day after I got Adria my current tune file, he had a new one for me to try out. I used MPPS to load up the new file into the DME..it worked great. The car fired up, and drove good.....BUT, it had a crazy lean spot in the fuel mapping at around 3,000rpms when running low boost (5psi). It went from around 14.7:1 to 18:1 like flipping a switch......and you could feel the power drop off really sudden. I have a wide-band AFR gauge so I can monitor air/fuel ratios...and honestly, without that.....it would have been a mess trying to tell Adrian with the issue was. Luckily I was able to tell him where the lean spot was, and a couple of more revisions and he got it all worked out. Mid-Throttle and WOT AFR's are right there they were supposed to be now. Honestly, I don't notice a huge increase in power after the new tune....but I can see on my AFR gauge that it's not running crazy rich and WOT any more...so that's got to be worth something. Also, using the Torque PRO app I'm able to see that mid-range timing is increased a little more...which seems to give the motor a little response. One thing I have noticed is that the motor gets into boost much sooner now with a lot less pedal input....not sure if that's because of more mid-rpm timing, or some other factor.
Adrian was super responsive...every time I would shoot him an email with feedback on the latest revision, a couple hours later he would have a new tune for me to try. From some of the horror stories I've hear about other tuning taking weeks (or more) to get revisions back...I was very happy he was so responsive. And for the price (about 1/4th the price of other well known tuners)....there is nothing to complain about.
All that being said...I think that if you are going to have ANYONE play around with your tune, at the bare minimum you need a wide-band AFR gauge to see what's going on. And having the TorquePRO app set up so you can log timing, throttle position, etc, etc...really helps. Without out that....you really have no idea what's going on. You cant' just go by feel.....going by "Feel" is how you cook a piston.
If anyone is looking for someone to get them a new tune to compensate for new mods, I would definitely reach out to adriancl. He's a great option as far as tuning goes...and right now, probably one of the only ones out there that really knows what they are doing.

I've really been considering having adrian tune my car. I have a few questions.
1. Do you know if you can us a mac? or do you need a windows computer?
2. how hard was it to get your wideband O2 sensor w/ AFR installed? did you have to remove the header? or was an exhaust shop able to drill and weld a bung in without removing it.
3. I know the price changes based on mods, but ball park what is adrian charging? I've considered a WMW quick tune, but it's annoying that I have to send in the ECU and so can't drive the car for the time the ECU is gone.
I don't have tons of mods. Right now I have 17% pulley and CAI. I've been considering an exaust, header and cat back, as well as 380cc or larger injectors. I don't think I'll ever add a cam or BVH.

1.Need a Windows laptop ,win7 or win 10
2.AFR wideband sensor can be installed on any exhaust shop.
3.I can tune your car same day you're able to read DME.
For other questions can contact me in pm.
As far as an AFR gauge and wide-band O2 sensor goes.....it's as simple as having a muffler shop weld in a bung after your header, and then screwing in the O2 sensor and then hooking up the gauge. I went with the Innovative Motorsports wide-band AFR gauge. I've had it for a few years, no issues. For tuning, it's a must.

GP file have rev limiter to 7168rpm, your file have 7008rpm rev limiter
Rerence cylinder temperature is not from GP is from JCW
Cor weighting function map is bad moded
Fuel at WOT is JCW map not GP map.
Reference ignition map not from GP
Base ignition not from GP

Scaling factor for requested torque at clutch from driver not GP map
few maps axis wrong.
Your VIN number WMWRE31060TG86018 that is a VIN for Cooper S not JCW,, but i guess your ECU was updated on Mini Dealer for JCW , I guess you have a JCW packet installed on dealer.Car Astro Black, september 2006,Italian car or first owner was from Italy.

Hmm ... now you guys all see why I been saying adrian for tuning was the way to go... guy really knows his stuff with these cars and really makes it easy for even an amature to figure out ( like me ) .. if your even considering tuning , hit him up..

This was recommended by Adrian:

You could be lean in spots and not be able to "feel" it......that's not good.
