ECS aftermarket aero bumper

Anyone here buy the ECS aero bumper by Bremmen aftermarket. Curious if anyone going with side marker delete, or how you plan on cutting in a spot and mounting for the front marker.

Yep its on the part description " Like the euro bumpers this does not include the side marker front marker light cutouts. Those will have to be deleted or modded to fit the bumper."

Once we see someone mod it we will post up. I imagine with the amount of people buying these someone will do it. I have a factory front aero bumper for my r52, so i have the cutouts. I would do the side marker delete on the rear , or get the laminx dark tint for the rears, comes with fronts. https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2005-...eSearch/MN005/

Let me know if you need the rear euro ones and we can add them to the site. Takes a while to come from germany. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...09#51121479096

So I think I’m going to work on this. Pretty sure all vehicles from like the 70s on must have a corner marker front and rear. A lot of newer cars have wrap around headlights, taillights, which makes front and rear visible from side at night. Can you get away with deleting them? Possibly, you’d have to check with your state requirements and either not bother or take your chances. Massachusetts has an annual inspection, some states don’t.

I’ll try to work on a mod and post here if I come up with something that is a neat, sturdy installation. cuz it’s a new bumper after all.

If you mean the scuttle lights right before the door, technically not at front or rear corners. After looking into RMV stuff, reason for front/back is for instance, you’re backing out of a blind driveway, on coming cars need to see you’re sticking out. Sounds kinda silly these days, but that’s the logic. Pretty soon your car will tell all the other cars you’re backing out. Like I said, if your state requires it, having them is required to pass inspection, I might be able to sneak by, but if not, your gonna be taking your bumper off and doing it to get pass a failed inspection. I’d like to not have to deal with that, but unfortunately, a logical solution is needed.

I think Florida is pretty lax when it comes to inspections no? No annual, only if you get cited for something broken I believe.

Yes. Pretty chill here. No smog checks. Windows tinted. Way better than LA.
