Which wheels look better. Car came with neuspeed 18x7.5 +45 with a 215 35 thats not comfortable. So i bought 17x7.5+38 and put 215 45. More comfort. What are your thoughts?

In my aesthetic opinion I think you made the proper choice.

The silver 17's look so much better!

17s.
Also, as a pseudo Canadian I am firmly of the opinion that comfort trumps fashion every single time anyway
And as a pseudo Scot I would point out that replacing rubber on the 17s will be significantly cheaper too.

You made the right choice IMO. But I'm also not a fan of black wheels in most cases.

Black wheels make the wheels look smaller. I have black on black (17 inch) and like the combo for now. In the end I would like 16 inch with fatter tyres.

Team Dynamics Monza R with stock springs/shocks.

Yea the 17s are definitely alot more comfortable. Liked the look of the 18s though when the r53s are lowered

17s are a great compromise between looks and function/comfort.

16s are my preference for an r53. 18 is just too big and more for that look if it’s what you are going for.

I was looking at 16s with a 225 45. But came across these 17s for a good deal. I like how the width and offset sits. Someone near me is selling used d2 coilovers for 400. Might get those and some rear camber arms to lower it abit

I have 195/45/16s on 16x8 et20

I think I want to go 215/45/16 next time around.

just worried about it sticking out too far on the outside. Inside shock clearance looks good.

205 45 on 16x8 +20 works well. There's another r53 around me with that spec. I don't know how much camber and such. But he's lowered right on tire. Doesn't look to have much camber at all either

I'm on 15x8 et20 with a 5mm spacer running 205/55r15s and LOVE how it sits even with stock springs..I MIIIIIIIIGHT get coilovers but I don't want to go an inch low which is the minimum drop for any set up.

Looks good. Coilovers will make it look and handle better. Do your rims and tires poke?

I belive so...I guess i should check that before pulling the trigger on coilovers because that's my fear BUT I have contemplated trimming my fenders and adding larger fender flares.

Even if you poke. Some coilovers have camber plates with them already. You'll just have to run some camber

Which coils did you get? Have someone local selling a used set if d2 coilovera for 340. He claims he's used them for only a year, about 10k miles

18s looks better but the ride can suffer. I had both and 17" are the largest without getting KONI reds or getting rid of those factory runflats.
