I used the tee from a GlowShift kit when I installed mine.

Thank you for that option too...I already ordered the glow shift version, but if that does not work I will have to try this....$8 USD for the part and $15 shipping. I just can not seem to find a similar listing here in the US. Cheers!

From all I have seen and read, it reduces the amount of jump or quick movements in the needle and give a better more stable reading.
It also comes with all the kits that I looked at, including the one for the gauge I have...so I just figured I would track one down...

Do you know differently? Are you running a mechanical boost gauge without one?
LMK...

Thanks!

Jump or quick movement as you put it = reaction time of the gauge. If you smooth that out, you could be masking a problem that could otherwise be observed with the quick response of the gauge. In all my 120 years of motoring, never used any reducer on vacuum gauge or boost gauge. These days I take it off the obd port thru torque & scantool.net MX unit.

Jep, I also use a restrictor for my analogue boost gauge. For accurate measurement I use the OBD with Torque Pro app.

@steve05ram360 I will try it both ways...I have a scangauge2 also showing boost, but I like the look of the actual gauge better.
I'll let you all know if I see any major difference and what they are.

Thanks for the replies and help!

anyone here have experience with the ultra guage that uses the obd port? thinking if giving it a shot for the mini so i can leave my antique HTC one in the truck to continue using with the scantool.net MX reader... looks like it would fit well between the 2 gauges on the column (chrono pack) and put it right where i would like it.

Any updates on this?

Also, does the scangauge2 allow for data logging?

I've been sidetracked....no update as of now.

After thinking it trough a bit more, I plan to just keep the boost on the SC2 and work towards installing an oil temp and pressure gauge where I had the boost and volt gauges (which both now show on SC2).
