Just Got Back From the Dealership

Well, me and my dad decided to make the hour trip to the closest Mini dealer today. We had no snow on the ground, and even though it is supposed to snow tonight, it's not supposed to snow until 9:00 or even later.

So we decided to go...Well, that hour trip turned into almost two hours...about halfway there, the snow started coming down, and the roads got really crappy. Needless to say, by the time we got there, the roads were horrible, and they wouldn't let me test drive a Mini. Oh well, I'm gonna go back later in the week. While I was there though, I decided that If I order, I want the British Racing Green...it's my favorite. Chili Red and Liquid yellow are tied for second.

I've never been in a Mini except at auto shows, where it's so crowded you don't have time to really get a feel for the car. After today, I know the Mini is the perfect car for me. There isn't even one thing I'd change about it.

I just got a lot of money for Christmas, and my 18th birthday is on Jan 3rd (more money)...so I should be able to get my Mini very soon.

BRG is super...ain't it great when you see a color and it just "feels right" to you? Takes some of the agony out of deciding. Glad you're saving and that things are working out. Soon a brand new Cooper shall...be...yours!!!

18 (well almost) and looking at a MINI what a great thing to be doing.

Did they let you sit in it and play the radio?

You should have ordered one while you were there as it will take some time before it shows up. And, you could always cancel it if you had to

Yeah, I've seen BRG before, but only from a distance, and it was dirty, etc...so I didn't really get to see the color. When I saw it in the showroom today, like you said, it felt right...It's what I want.

And yep, it will be soon...I want to save up another $1,000 or so, then I'm all set.

I sat in it and fooled around with it, but didn't play the radio...how is it, nice?

You do know that the factory installed satelite radio is Sirrus not XM...

So that means that you are going to have to install a ugly adapter or change out the head unit.

BRG is a great choice, Are you going with a contrasting roof color? If so, What?

Did they have anything close to what you wanted in stock or are you going to have to order one?

Look at that, I don't even have one yet and I'm already excited about the color...and claiming that I'm a BRG owner. I don't know how I'm gonna deal with this wait.

Yeah, but from what i've read Sirius doesn't even work with the '05 head unit, so that's a no go...plus, with XM direct, I can have a factory looking install and control the XM through the stock HU.

To answer the second part of your question (sorry...missed it)

I want BRG with a white roof, but I don't care TOO much. To be honest, all the Minis were covered in snow, so I didn't even see what they had in stock. When I go up on Wednesday I'll look.

BRG is the best colour, and adds more HP than the other colours. And you cant go wrong with either colour roof (Black or White) ... just make sure you get stripes though. The MINIS love having stripes on them.

Why not get an S? More bang for the buck.

Goodluck to you man, I really hope you get your BRG.
