MINI of Pittsburgh- You Rock!

Just wanted to give a well deserved kudos to MINI of Pittsburgh for their service, support, knowledge and generall all-around coolness. Mindy, George, Grahaem, Cassandra and the bunch- great job!

If anyone out there is looking for a great purchasing experience, don't hesitate to give Mindy a call.

They even "offer" the MTH $75 hop up!

Maybe its just me- but I would have thought that someone who bought a car would be a likely canidate for another. (especially someone as enthusatic as me about her MINI!) But I frequently feel ignored or invisible when I go to the dealer- I have sent a referral and even have emailed, ect. I stop by every few months- I don't live close to the dealer, which is another reason, you would think that they would take better care of their customers but.. I stopped in MINI of Manhattan last month when I was in town and they have sent me a least 6 emails, mailings, etc. and I haven't even bought a car from them- I guess they are working on the prospective buyer. I really am glad that you all are getting attention. I think it helps for the resale. I'm just dissapoited that I'm not-

Wow what a mixed bunch of reviews. I've worked as a Motoring Advisor for MINI of Pittsburgh for just 3 months having moved from McKinney, Texas. In that time I have had a blast talking MINIs all day long and getting people what they want. Maybe it's because I am a MINI owner, but this job rocks! We have a great inventory of cars, a great showroom team, and enthusiasm all around.

I used to work in Corporate Info Technology and learned customer service from a global standpoint. Now I get to change the way cars are sold - everyday!

Call me and see! I get 100s on my satisfaction surveys all the time!

Graham's being so modest...he is a total celeb down here among the D/FW MINI club, and rightly so. Pittsburgh is lucky to have such a devoted and talented MINI enthisiast available to work with.

Thank you! Anyway I admit to being MINI-centric and to prove it go here:

www.chandler-motorsports.com

I've even got some of the Pittsburgh folks taking their MINIs to the track now.

I think I was the number one candidate for non-repeat buyer as I flew in, picked up the car and left. I dealt with four midwest dealers previously and they all were unattentive and very snobbish.

It went so well, I think another order is going into MINI of Pittsburgh after Christmas.

Did you know that you can park two MINI's in a regular spot? If you park them sideways. I think they should come in a special "PAIRS" package like ATVs and Snowmobiles. Its unfair to someone to force them to sit in the passenger seat.....

Seriously, the only complaint I have about MINI of PIttsburgh is that the sun beats through the windows with relentlessness, causing the staff to strip down to their skivies. Fine for Mindy and Cassandra, but George and Graham in their thongs were a little much....

My issue wasn't with the purchase of my beloved MINI, its how I feel I have been treated since- My MA is gone but that really isn't the issue- I just thought that someone who already had a MINI would be an easy sale for a future one if they felt that they weren't feeling ignored and left out- Maybe I'm ultra sensitive or just am not around enough but that's how I feel. I'm glad to hear that so many of you have been treated well and continue to be treated well-

See! Too much fun being had selling MINIs. Actually we don't really sell them. Somehow or other people wrestle them away from us. Just when we get a nice comfortable showroom with great colors and options, HK radios to play, etc. Someone comes in and we have to start all over.

Gotta admit it's fun mixin' and matchin' those colors!

Send me an email at graham.chandler@pandwforeigncars.com and I'll be glad to reset your impressions. And I'm sorry your MA left. I really am, you must have felt deserted.

So anyway, I've enjoyed this thread and I'm very cognizant about not overdoing it to where it's an ad. I will say this though. I've met so many people from PA, OH, WV, MD, NY, IN and even a young lady from California, all who have purchased from me and this has been a real eye opener for me. I have never had to use any of the car sales techniques that I have had used on me in the past. (What's it going to take, etc).

We don't have any quotas, only the results of MINI customer surveys to be accountable for. Interestingly enough, with our team, there is always someone that can interact with just about anyone out there demographics-wise. As MAs, our focus is on the right car for the person. We have our own team of financial experts to support us so we don't have to get distracted from the cars to talk much about money and all of that.

Anyway, off the soapbox.

See ya!

I did not buy my car from Mini Of Pitt (I bought mine from Don Rosen Mini ((now Mini of Mainline)) while I was living in Philadelphia). I have however been to the dealership on quite a few occasions for meetings/service/etc. Being in the PittStop Mini Club I have come to know many of the people who work there and can say that they are all polite and intelligent people.

The Service guys on the other hand are not such a bright bunch. They have routinly screwed things up for me. The best was coming to get a headlight fixed (among other things) and when I picked up the car from the service guy a little birdie in my head told me to check the headlight. Sure enough it didn't come on, although on the invoice it said they did work on it. I popped off the rear cover to the and the morons took the old xenon bulb out but neglected to put a new one in. Outstanding work! I talked to the Service Manager who promptly told me his employees "are idiots" (no kidding) and put the bulb in himself.

Note however that the parts guys are awesome and will help you out tremendously. Just wish the parts counter hours were longer.

I think I will be buying my next car (X3) from Sewickly Car Store this spring rather than P&W. I will however likely return to Mini of Pittsburgh in 2007 or 2008 to purchase my next Mini. I should think that my current Mini will be ready to retire by then . Grant, don't quit/retire before then

I'm not quitting/retiring anytime soon, I love MINI sales! Also I love the demographics of the people I meet on a daily basis. Mostly college educated, and they have a solid understanding of automotive technology and how it sets our vehicles apart from the rest. My 30+ year career in computer technology is quite applicable in this new venture as my 2nd career! Gotta love this job!

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first after hearing all of the horror stories people had experienced when working with their mini dealership, but mini of pittsburgh has proven to me that those stories do not apply to them.

The guys and gals over at Mini of Pittsburgh recently had myself and Euro Styles East down for their Christmas party. They let us display product, talk to prospective/former customers about aftermarket tuning, and allowed us to perform a demonstation/installation of a milltek catback in their service department. I don't know of any dealership that would invite a local tuner shop to come into their service department and talk about aftermarket mini products and do an installation.

Mini of Pittsburgh is cool in my book and I recommend anyone interested in purchasing a new mini to give them a shot

I just had my 10K mile service and V39.2 ECU flash at Mini of Pittsburgh. Everyone treated me as though I had a BMW 740I:smile:. Was offered a loaner, hung out with Graham and talked mini stuff. Have not seen it posted anywhere before but, does everyone know that the V39.2 flash includes a free gas fill-up BTW: Had bad YoYo prior to flash and now "IT IS GONE" I didn't have YoYo problem when I first bought the car. Showed up after about 800 miles. Will be interested to see if YoYo is gone forever or, if it raises it's ugly head after some miles.
No another subject, Mini of Burg has quite a few Minis In Stock. There are two convertables on the floor (1 Cooper, 1 - S) plus a nice selection Coopers & S's in stock. Call and ask for Graham Chandler, he will be happy to assist you. They do ship all over the Country and sell at MSRP.

I purchased my Mini from a private owner in Ohio, but have visited Mini of Pittsburgh on numerous occasions for accessories & information. Every time, I am treated like gold by Graham, Cassandra and the rest of the staff.

I'm female and my husband is male This MINI was for moi. But you need not worry about "intimadation" or anything as the guys are cool and MINDY and CASSANDRA are female.

I had many run ins with other dealers and I can say by far that MINI of Pittsburgh was the best to deal with. The dealer that is local to my husband's work was very high pressure and as soon as they found out I was only there to buy much overpriced accessories for Xmas, dismissed me and never looked up from behind their desks again. Very BMW-like,tsk tsk.

Too bad since we have plans to purchase another.....or ten! from MINI of Pittsburgh!
