Well, I went out to MINIUSA today to check the status of my new MINI. Just think how surprised I was when I was asked to watch a video of my 'personal' MINI being made, look at still images of it and download a wallpaper of the construction photos!!!! They said this was a test feature and they were rolling it out to about 500 owners to see if they like it, I gave a BIG thumbs up!!! Here's the wall paper:

They started using my IDEA!

Not that i told them, but when i was tracking my first MINI i thought that with the sophisticated tracking system they could also add webcams so you could get pics of your MINI being built! And look there it is!

Huge Thumbs up! to MINI for their constant evolution of cool!

 

Very cool! I'm jealous that wasn't available when mine was built!

Um, I'm not seeing the big picture. Literally. I see the smaller ones on the side but not the main one. Or is it a picture of the factory at night?

This is just the downloadable wall paper image they create for you, so a lot of the screen is black (for your icons) and the images are on the right side. I'm at work now so I din't have a lot of time to explore, I'll check it out later tonight and post some more info.

DAMNIT! I WANTED THAT WHEN MY CAR WAS BEIN BUILT!! That is really f**kin cool tho! Maybe Ill buy another just do utilize the feature

 

You can actually download the video as well. If you go to your temporary files and search for *.SWF you will find a file named similar to MOV_754372600000528.swf. If you open that file in Internet Exploerer then you can view your car all you want. I Saved my off to a directory so I can keep it with my other MINI items!!
