Anyone know who is selling this car?

$5,500???

Either someone needs to make bail, or that car is stolen/damaged/engineless!

Its a hoax. I have seen this many times. I ride Ducatis and this summer mroe then once there were bikes for sale at ridiculous prices and they all turned out to be hoaxes. At some point ebay will shut it down. They will take your money and not ship you. The transfer will have to be made to an offshore account.

Yeh, this screams hoax, if not for just the cheap price, the seller too looks pretty fishy. It would be interesting to found out some real info about the cooper. If you could zoom in far enough on one of the pics you might be able to find a VIN.

That vehicle was listed last week - I can't recall if it sold or not. They copied that ad verbatim. This auction is DEFINITELY not legit. Note the UK ebay user ID.

Did you see the cupholder?

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...tid=2679&stc=1

Is this really an available product somewhere? I really like it.

However, the wood trim is ugly.

Yep, I saw a guy selling these. He was asking like $110 or $150 (can't remember it was a year ago) or something like that. It's really nice, but heavy, and makes the original oem cupholder no longer usable.

This is the 1st carfax I've seen on a MINI, but why is the "manufactued in" listed as Germany? shouldn't it be England?

I got one with my MINI and I wondered the same thing. I'm guessing they say that because the company is owned by BMW. I wonder if they list the BMW's made in South Carolina as being made in Germany also.

Yep that's the one. The guy that was trying to sell them bought two, until he realized that you couldn't install 2 at the same time. I just remember it was really beefy, but too pricey for me.

Ha! I got an email back from the seller:

Dear sir,

I'm very glad to hear that you are interested in my car.
Some words about the car: perfect condition .The car has never been wrecked or damaged. No damages,no scratches or dents,no hidden defects, clear title, and it is as advertised,it passed the test emissions and comes with all the documents you need to register it.I took care of it like it was my own baby.I washed it twice a week and was driven very carreful and with low speed.I never had techniqual problems with it.The car was ONLY garage kept. I took care of her and SHE took care of me.I am sad to see it go but that's life(win some lose some).I have some financial problems and I really need the money asap.A couple of months ago I moved to Italy along with my wife(she's italian)and now I need the money to buy a house because now we're staying at my wifes parents. So the car will be shipped from Italy.Because I want this deal to go smooth and without any problems I decided to even pay for shipping all the way to your door.So if you are ready to pay the buy it now price that is only GBP 9500 I will sell you the car.I hope that you are a serious buyer.Waiting for a quick reply.

Regards,Robert

So what he's saying is that no one in the UK would pay 9500 GBP for it.

I've still got that mountain top land in Florida for sell if this deal falls through.

Well.... You could always tell him that you represent a buyer who is interested, but has just left for business in Tokyo. However, he has left you with a cashier's check for $20000 to purchase a car. You will send the check to the guy in Italy, and all he has to do is send you the difference in gold bullion, and *you* will take care of all the shipping. (Then all you have to do is find a bogus cashier's check to pay for his bogus Cooper.)
