Best $100 Miniac holiday present?

What would you like? Is there anything in that price range?

Sorry, I'm not looking to buy everybody a gift! My dad and I like to get each other car-related gifts (he's a car guy from way back, currently driving a Miata and S2000 on weekends - not at the same time, though) and I've been thinking about how I'd answer this question.

I like the Saddle Bag Storage deal from Moss Mini. It will get my tool kit and car duster off the floor of my boot.

http://mossmini.com/Shop/ViewProduct...eIndexID=39767

Or maybe some checkerboard stripes from Cooper Flags.

http://cooperflags.com/ProductDetail.cfm?ID=74

What's on your list this year?

Well....I'm going to cheat, here, in that what I want is closer to $700-$1,000. I want a Garmin 2610 or 2620 portable navigation system, which can go into any car! Very important for stress-free cross-country travels!

Auto-up windows if you don't have them. Shift **** is another good one.

Motoringfile has some ideas as well

Pyrometer to measure tire temperatures when coming off of the track.

http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bi...2Fnsearch.html

One could also check the temperature of their brake rotors, whatever.

Erinn and I still use ADC map books. I love'em- they show all the little twisty roads! At $8-10 each, you can get one for each county in which you motor. They are also a gift you can keep giving, since updated editions are published every year. Last year's editions make great wallpaper for the kids' rooms, too!

Unfortunately, ADC maps are like UTZ potato chips- most folks can't get them, since they are only published for the states surrounding Washington, D.C. I do wish they would go nationwide- there have been so many times I've pined for them on our long-distance motoring forays!

I love reading maps, but when I crossed the country from Los Angeles to Birmingham, Alabama, and used YuccaPatrol's Garmin Street Pilot, I saw how nice it was to have its info. It provides such info as nearest gas stations, lodging, restaurants, and points of interest! Very cool stuff available without having to have a pile o'maps in the MINI!!!

Well you can buy a VacuCam video camera system for $99
http://store.northamericanmotoring.c...&cat=10&page=1

But on my wishlist, I want a Canon 20D--but that's in the $1500-$2,000 price range.

Those are awfully nice! A friend of mine was kind enough to give me a Momo **** for my birthday, actually - before I'd even gotten my Mini. He must be psychic, because the shift **** was the first thing I wanted to change!

For a hundred bucks, I put that towards a Valentine One. You'll need it with a Mini

Keep in mind what that $120 pulley will cost him to get installed!

You could always try a nice set of wires (not huge on the performance but it could be something and they look cool!)

i'd say definitely a pulley. he ought to be ok with a 19% if he doesn't go nutzo on the track.
