Purple Haze is definitely... purple

Saw my first PH car today. Just wanted to let those who might be ordering sight unseen that it's definitely purple. Pretty darned intense in direct sun. I'm thinking it would look sweet with some gold wire wheels, undersized white wall tires, orange, button-quilted velour upholstery and a 12" chain-link steering wheel.

Orange and purple is a great combo, but not gold wire wheels -- spinners definitely.

But yeah, saw one at the dealership last week. It's purple all right.

But that Cool Blue -- now that's a color! I'd paint my MC that color if I could.

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say....but, yes, it is definitely purple....more than I had imagined from any pics I've seen.

Now me?...if I were (forced) to respray my MINI it'd have to go Hot Orange or my all-time fav Electric Blue, which is what I'd have to do since neither are offered as Cooper colors. (EXCEPT in the rest of the world where EB is now a Cooper color! Yeah, I'm still slightly pissed about that one. Grrrrrr....)

Downtown Mini in Orlando displats a PH that one of the salesmen own. It's truly a good lookin' car and if I ordered again, it would be the royal color of purple. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, it's very purple until you want to take a good picture of it!! Trying to capture that color on film is maddening - it always looks blue! When you look at it really closely, you see that it's a blue paint job with a metallic overcoat that gives it the purple.

I love mine - it's pretty unique even among MINIs right now.

Yes, I see very few PH MINIs (saw several at the dealer, though) and there's only one (that I know of) in our local club. I've NEVER seen a MINI in Astro Black...looking forward to that!
