I am SO Angry!!! @#$%%^^^&**

Our new Cabrio was KEYED Friday night!!! I commute via the train to San Diego - went to get in the car after work and darn it......there it was.....all the way down the left side - starting with the black trim around the tire!!! I'm just sick about it...

And it's DEEP - almost like a knife was used...it's well known where we live there are a lot of gang issues - of course, I'll never know who did it, but I suppose some punk just couldn't resist!! I'm glad they didn't slit the top!!!

I know it can be fixed - I received several recommendations for good body shops from our West Coast MINI friends.......but Urggggggg......why can't people just leave other peoples cars alone????

Chow!

Donna

Donna...............that totally sucks!! I've never understood morons that do stupid stuff like this for no reason whatsoever except to give themselves some sort of sick, perverse jolly. Ya hafta be a pretty sick SOB to actually do something like this...............I mean, why?

I had one of these idiots throw something at my bonnet last year around spring break resulting in two shallow dents. They'd been drinking was my guess. All patched up now but boy was I upset.

Best wishes on the repairs.......your MINI will be looking fab again in no time and this will all be a distant memory!!!

Sure bites for now though...

Donna, that is a shame . . .

It is my profound hope that the little b*#$@rd got hit by an SUV on the way to his miserable rathole, and is DEAD

I hate mindless destruction of other people's property. It really makes you wonder what's wrong with some people.

I am SO sorry, Donna! That's horrific. Take your poor baby to the shop and then take yourself out for a nice dinner afterwards.

Cruddy bastards... they'll (hopefully) get theirs.

Silver lining!

Just think of it this way... now you have an excuse (while in the paint shop) to have flames painted on the sides!

That sucks! This is the second cabrio I have heard of this happening to. Another person, who owns the first S convertible imported into California, told me that his got keyed the first day he had it! I don't know what I would do to a person if I found them messing with my MINI but it would be quite Sopranoesque.

Ouch! That's awful! A similar thing happened to my friend who lives in my condo complex here in Alexandria VA. He just got a new 05 Scion tC and had a car cover on it while parked in our condo parking lot, and someone scratched through the cover into the car. Some people are monsters! Don't let it spoil your fun. It can be repaired. Good motoring!

I'm so sorry to hear about that. Your posts throughout the past 1.5 years have indicated that you're nothing but a really nice person. May the body work be outstanding...

Wanda is SO pi$$ed off right now, she wants to track down Ariel's attacker and run over his big toe! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Sweetie, I like the flame graphic idea! But you could do a breaking wave or something surf-ish!

 I know your baby will be good as new, soon. I'm suggesting that you drive the Durango to the parking lot to take the commuter train to work. Leave Ariel at home, safe in her own driveway. And, maybe it's time to get her a little car cover?

Donna,

I'm sorry to hear this. Words escape me. At least as you say it was not the top.

Oh Donna I'm so sorry about Ariel. I'm afraid if I had to park on a commuter lot I'd take the "expendable" car like Clo says. Sunnie hopes she's better soon:smile:

LombardStreet, of the interminably long, rambling posts, is at a loss for words!

I feel bad for you. I recently had my car cover stolen, so I know the feeling. I simply do not understand why other people feel the need to damage other peoples property. What goes around, comes around. Revenge will come from a higher power...trust me.
