Man something is wrong here...................I'm 6'-1" and 220 #'s and I can't reach the steering wheel and pedals with the seat all the way back! Find another dealer or sales person and try it again. You don't get in a MINI; you put it on!............................mgg

I'm 5'7"... almost the exact height you are and I fit fabulously. I'm rarely more comfortable anywhere than I am in my MINI:smile:
5'7",160,I fit very well.Seat is all the way down, rather upright, arms and legs are slightly bent, hands at 3 and 9,left foot on the foot rest,my leg is not straight with the clutch all the way in.My back has not hurt in the 15 months I,ve driven this car,33k miles.Used to hurt alot, but sitting on a padded bench in a truck probably didn't help

5' 8", 152 lbs. I'm able to find a comfortable position, so Peep you should be fine. It does take a bit of adjustment, and, it does suck when someone else drives -- maybe that's why my wife has only driven the car once

6'4", 240+ lbs, 5000 miles in 3 months of driving. Its the best fitting car of them all. More head and leg room than even some mini suvs I've driven.

Give it another try.

I think we've established alllllmost any body short of an orge will fit comfortably in the MINI. Try cranking the seat down, not just back. I found this to be a big help in finding the right seat adjustment. If you put the seat ALL the way down, it may prevent someone from sitting behind you, but hopefully you'll find a setup that works for you. Incidentally, I found the MINI to have more room/be more comfortable than the A4 I'm driving right now.

test drive horrors.

I am 5'8" and weigh 150 pounds and have had my MINI S for a month now. The first weekend I had it I went on my first AtlantaMinis trip...500 miles in one day and I could not get the seat right. My right leg was sore, my back was sore. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get comfortable.

I asked others about it and they told me they never had problems...so, I just kept playing around with the adjustment for about a week, constantly changing height, distance, back tilt, trying every combination I could. Suddenly, one day everything clicked. I found the magic spot, the one place where everything is right.

So, don't give up, take another test drive and don't rush...take your time. You'll find a position that is almost right, then just keep fine tuning.

Peep - The MINI has more head and leg room than a Hummer. If at 5’8” you’re having problems fitting I have nothing to say, but move the seat.

My 6'4" friend wanted to drive mine, he still had head room, although he did complain the steering wheel was a reach, but felt comfortable.

5'10", long in the leg and find the mini tres confy. First step for me was lowering the seat all the way down and then putting the back almost at a 90degree angel, steering wheel to lap. perfect. and the seat is not even all the way back. Could fit a person (small child crosslegged) in the seat behind me with no problem.

My 6'4" bro, big fella, said he found it quite confortable also my 6'3" father thought it was perfect. Purely misadjustment problem. Spend the time to get in a confortable possition prior to taking off, don't let those fools rush you, take your time mess with everything a little. good luck

my $0.02.

Well, the first time I sat in a MINI I admit, it was way too tight. I had to open the doors until the test drive started... After driving the car for about 20 mins I didnt feel compact at all... went from a full size sedan to the MINI so it was an adjustment for sure! Lovin' every minute. Im 5'10". Just as another testimonial... I put a guy 6'6" in and he felt very comfortable... said more leg/head room than his Jeep Wrangler (with the top on). Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
