I'd go OEM. I switched to redline, and it's harder to shift, especially when cold. Next time I change the transmission fluid, I plan to go back to OEM.
Always OEM. I mentioned the above quoted aftermarket fluid to the best indie MINI tech you will find and he said that in his many years of MINI experience there is no guessing or doubt with oem fluid. It's worth the difference in price.
I went with redline MTL on my 2004. Felt smoother to shift. Then again I also don’t know if my transmission fluid had ever been changed. Placebo? Maybe.
