Recommendations for quiet exhaust on R53 MCS?

After 15 years and ~ 100K miles the center silencer is finally starting to rust out on my 2003 R53.

I'm of an age that I'm not willing to add any noise to my commute, so I am looking for OEM style or another "quiet" exhausts.

I have found the OEM style from the following manufacturers for considerably less than genuine Mini, but I cannot seem to find any reviews?
  • Bosal USA
  • Walker
  • Ansa

Thank you in advanced for any recommendations.

Go with a factory JCW. Will get a little better performance and still be nice and quiet. Last time I looked ALLMAG, a vendor here, had some good prices on them.

I put a new Bosal on my MCS utilizing the one ball mod, still nice and quiet with no drone at all. Was $170 online and welded in myself. The resonator was totally useless.

I just received my Bosal muffler yesterday. Never in all my shopping did it occur to me to look for a JCW muffler.

I would go with our resonated section exh as it doesn't drone, but makes a good sound and deeper when you get in it. Won't be too loud.
https://www.waymotorworks.com/stratm...3-hardtop.html

The JCW will still be louder than your stock too, but like the strat not too loud.

And most cost effective if you like your stock is search local as someone near you has likely installed an aftermarket system and may have their stock laying around cheap.

How has the Bosal held up? Looking for cheap and quiet also.

if you’re interested I have a full uncut factory exhaust off my ‘05 MCS with 66k miles and from California. Looks almost new. I took it off to replace it with a Miltek. I’d be willing to sell it but you would have to come get it in Illinois since it’s still in one piece. I have it in the garage attic and let me tell you how much of a pita it was to get through the scuttle hole. But I didn’t want to get rid of it due to looking like new.

Support a local muffler shop and have them replace the failed components.

Vibrant makes high quality components that effectively muffle exhaust note.
