Need a little direction - wanting to "one ball" my R53. Which muffler should I remove and replace with a straight pipe (A or B, or does it matter?) Also, can I remove the resonator? THANKS!

 

On a factory setup it would be B but the one that you have is not OEM ( factory) that's an aftermarket Catback

 

Sorry I take that back I see now that you have a JCW so the resonator would be the one to go in your case

 

yes, that looks to be the JCW exhaust, no need to one ball it

you can remove the resonator for more sound but there wont be any increase in performace

the "oneball" refers to the stock S exhaust which are 2 (heavy) boxes

 

Don't touch it IMO....

Hey thanks got my answers - I'm just going to remove the resonator as its a JCW exhaust

 

I have a pipe that I had made to replace the resonator on the JCW exhaust. I didnt like the sound so I went back to the resonator. it's just sitting in my basement. If you want it let me know. You can pick it up in NC or pay to have it shipped. PM me and we can work something out.
