DIY R53 muffler delete?

Let me start of by saying I'm a newbie lol. I got my R53 bout a month ago and now want to do a muff delete on it.

Now my question is, how do I go along with doing this? which muffler do I cut off? Can i put on exhaust tips and still have that OEM look?

If possible, can someone supply me with a part list and instructions?

Search for 'one-ball' mod.

Sounds like you are wanting to do a one ball mod, which is removing the passenger side resonator(muffler) you don't need much to do this, just a pre-bent 90* length of 2.25" tubing. Then you measure/mark/cut/weld. All in all an easy mod, if you don't have a welder take it to an exhaust shop, most charge less than $75.

If you are talking about straight piping the car, it will be loud as hell and doesn't sound great. However it's your car do whatever you want.

I have a friend that had his shop remove the double pumpkin cans and then re-pipe to a single magnaflow european exhaust. It does wrap around the battery box. I call him the "shredder" as at WOT you know he is in front of you.

Yep, if you go to the one ball mod it will be loud, if you take both off you will be very loud and a little drone.

When I bought my '04 R53 almost 2 years ago, the kid that owned it before me had already deleted the passenger side muffler and put a 90* pipe from the center pipe to the drivers muffler.....it really doesn't sound all that bad
