2nd Cat Delete + Res Delete and NM Engeneering Muffler
So my question is. I have everything but a 2nd Cat delete that comes after the flex pipe. Will it really make it a little louder and is it going to set off codes or smell like crap from my exhaust?
Let me know I want to take it out.
Shouldnt set off any codes or anything. The JCW's dont have a 2nd cat from the factory so you should be fine. Should make it a little louder... check out some videos on youtube if you wanna know how it sounds.
I have my 2nd cat off with my magnaflow muffler. But I do have my resonator put back on, it was a bit too loud for when I have people in my car. But I'd recommend you take it off because it did add a bit more acceleration when stepping on the gas.
Nice! Okay I am sold. I will do it. The only problem is no one wants to do it for me. It's illegal to take it off here in Ontario Canada. I will figure it out though.

Thanks guys.
Well if not in Canada, you can always cross the boarder in Michigan to do it. Good luck!

I have fJCW which I use as a racecar, and mine does have a second cat after the flex pipe, which I have removed.
I didn't notice any perceptible noise change from this. However, as mine is a racecar I run in a helmet, so I wouldn't notice a minor change. The car does run smelly and smoky when started from cold for the first few minutes, but after that you do not notice it.
It does throw a code, which is similar to the code thrown by removing the downpipe cat, ie it will log a pending code which you can read if you have a proper code reader, and eventually after a variable period of time it will trigger a check engine light. However, this does not put the car into any form of limp mode, and can easily be cleared by even the most basic code readers (eg scanguage etc). My car throws 2 different codes, one for the downpipe and one for the main cat.
