MINI shipment tracking - arggghhh!!!
I think I'd almost prefer it if MINI didn't provide all the 'state-of-the-art' production status tracking. I've bought several new vehicles over the years that I 'custom ordered' and it was always a nice surprise to get the call from the dealer saying that my car was in. I ordered my MCS on 9/18, and between staying all hyped up reading the threads here and on the other forums, and checking every day with ask-MINI and the WW web site, I'm almost convinced that I'd rather just get that surprise call from the dealer! My car was finished on 10/12, at the dock on 10/13, I found my VIN listed on WW's site booked on the 'Freedom' to depart on 10/22 and arrive in SC on 11/2. Unfortunately, my VIN disappeared from WW's system on 10/15, and hasn't been heard from since. This morning I again called ask-MINI and the automated response for my car had changed from "awaiting transport" to "in transit". I've got to assume that's a good thing, but WW still doesn't show my VIN. So I talked to a real person (Molly) at ask-MINI and she confirmed the "in transit" and added that it left port on 10/19 (yesterday), but she didn't ahve access to info on the shipping line. Well, WW doesn't show a ship leaving Southhampton on 10/19, so I'm thinking that maybe MINI is cooking out so many vehicles that they had to shift some of their US bound cars to another shipping line. That would explain WW dropping the VIN's. Does anybody know what other lines MINI might use to ship to the east coast? Inquiring minds want to know. Or maybe I should just wait for that surprise call from my dealer - NOT!

I am going to check with my MA and see if she knows anything.
your ship is most likely on K-Line, due to Charleston 10/28
mine did the same as yours...i called my MA and got a Bill of Lading number..then i called Kline (800-609-3221) and did option 4 (car vessels)...told the nice lady my bill of lading number and she said mine, and 331 other minis, was on the Emden...call sign is 3ERP5
current location:

Same exact thing has happened to me. I called ASK-MINI and they confirm that it is in-transit. So I think all of ours got switched from WW to K-Line and they are due on the 23rd, even though the website says awaiting transport.
You are all quite slowly going mad, don't you see?!?!?!? By the time your MINI actually gets here you'll be stark raving MINIacs!!! They're the best kind, you know....known to wave enthusiastically, detail ferrociously, and smile gladly while putting "the pricey stuff" in their little MINI gas tanks!!!!

Ah, yes....the motoring is sweet when you're mad.......MAD I say!!!!!.......about your MINI!!!!
