I just checked tracking and at this point my car is booked on th efreedom, sceduled to be in SC on 11-2-04

Anyone else impatiently waiting for this ship to bring their mini to the US ?

I have been moved up to the patriot ! Less wait is sooooo good to hear.

 

How do you find out what ship your car is on? I'd like to look up mine too.

 

go to www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp

then click auto and then enter your vin # if it has been sceduled to be on a ship or is on a ship it will show you the info.

Some ports the minis arent shipped on this line, in that case I dont know how to track but I am sure someone else who has been there waited for that will chime in with some info.

 

detlman ill tell you if i see it lol i live near the ports downtown charleston and see all of bmv volvo etc cars wrapped up in white plastic in a big parking lot on the water.

Oh Boy! Your post prompted me to try your link and check on my MCS. A couple of weeks ago I called ASK-MINI and was told it was scheduled for production this week. Anyway, I entered my VIN and found that I'm scheduled to ship on this same voyage, arriving in SC on 11/02. I've been trying to stay low-key about this, but I sure wish MINI could keep their owners lounge web info a little more current. It still just shows "scheduled for production", and doesn't show any of the order details (factory options) other than the color - CR/W.

 

My wife's MCS in booked on board the Tagus leaving Southampton on 10/16 and arriving NY on 10/24. Hope it makes it.....the build date was scheduled for 10/13 (unlucky for some ).

The mini site is definatly a little behind, but today it updated to the next step after sceduled for production. It seems to be a couple days behind on average, my car was finished monday. Where are you located, are you picking up your mini or having it shipped, mine is coming to so cal hopefully I will have it before Thanksgiving.

 

YEAH ! Looks like they moved me up to the patriot !!!!!! That means my mini will load tomorow and be in SC around 10-25 oh yeah !!

I might even get it the second week of november.

 

Hi -- This is my first posting. I ordered an S convertible on Sept. 17 for September production. It went into production the next day, finished on Sept. 29, and has been sitting in Southampton since Oct. 4 (that's 10 days now) waiting to ship to California. But still -- my VIN has never shown up on the WW cargo tracking site, and Ask MINI knows nothing about when it may ship, or on what carrier.

Anyone have any great ideas about how I can find out when/how my beautiful little car will make its way to California??

 

Bluescoop, we are in about the same position. I ordered my MCS on 8/28, and now shows awaiting transport on the MINI site since lat week.. However, the vin is not showing up on the WW site. I am also curious to find out the shipping status.

One other question. The factory options just updated today, but did not include the sport package in the itemized list. I haven't spoken to my MA yet, but does anyone who has ordered the sport package have it not show up on this list?

 

JAMminn -- so glad I'm not alone! I've heard talk that some Mini's coming to the West Coast ship via the K-Line or the NYK Line, but my MA in So. Cal professes never to have heard of them, and AskMINI doesn't know, either.

Do any West Coast Mini owners who have already received their babies know anything about this topic??

 

I'll ask my MA tomorrow to see if she has any info regarding either of those carriers and let you know. I need to verify that my MCS was ordered with the sport pkg anyway. Which dealer did you order your mini from?

 

detlman - Congrats on having your shipping date moved up. I'm still listed on the Freedom for a 10/22 departure. I'm located in central Missouri, and ordered from MINI of St. Louis. When I ordered (9/18), my MA said I should get it by the second week of November, and I guess they could still make that. The dealer will need it for a couple of days to install the JCW kit.

 

I am also booked on the Freedom. I am checking frequently (probably too frequent ) hoping that I will get moved up to the Tagus. I just hate the thought of my car sitting on a dock for 10 days waiting for a boat when it could be on a cruise, headed toward home. I have patiently waited for a couple of years til the convertibles came out; now that the last 3-4 weeks are here... YIKES, I am a basket case. Not too patient anymore.

As least I know he will have good shipmates.

Help! What does it mean when your VIN disappears from the WW tracking system? My MCS was "Ready to scan at the terminal" on 10/13. For the past two days I could go to their site and enter my VIN and see that I was scheduled on the Freedom to depart on 10/22 and arrive in SC on 11/2. I was a little bummed that it would sit at the docks for 10 days, but at least it was there. This morning I went to the WW site and entered my VIN and got a message saying "No tracking information is available for the cargo ID you entered". I reentered my VIN 4 times to make sure that I typed it correctly, and my car doesn't exist any more as far as WW is concerned. Anybody got any ideas on where I can check or what to do?

 

I checked on the WW site this morning, too. IT HAS DISAPPEARED! I am hoping they are changing ships and it will show up later today.

 

Right, thats what I am hoping as well. I think there are two other ships scheduled before the 10/22 voyage of the Freedom. I was just surprised that the VIN would completely dissapear from their system. Oh well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Wouldn't it be great if our cars got an earlier departure.:smile:

 

maybe they are updating the system??? Mine isnt showing up anymore either . I looked earlier this morning and it showed as ready to scan and that the ship was in port or had left port but a couple hours later no tracking is available???


I hope they are updating and my mini is loaded and on the way.

 

I would love to think that it will show up earlier! My birthday is in the beginning of November and that would be the best birthday present ever. I didn't like the fact that it would be sitting there for 10 days with other ships leaving, but now that it is missing, I am keeping my fingers, toes, eyes crossed.

i'm also on the freedom, and my info disappeared today on the ww tracker. yesterday i was scanned/received. that would be awesome if we all were moved to an earlier ship :smile:

 

It looks like they are moving them all to a different ship. Mine disappeared as well.

 

Well, today the WW cargo tracking app isn't working at all. I hope they're just doing some work on their site.
