Mini Cooper s 2002 r53 car delete

Hey everyone just a quick question, I am planning for a new invidia n1 exhaust system, and also a cat delete, but doing this would give me an engine light correct? Is there anyway that this could be bypassed? Thanks!

Yes, CAT delete will give you a code, the CAT creates a variation between the two O2 sensors, if that variation isn't there it will give you a code. Sometimes a O2 extender that pulls the post CAT sensor out of the direct stream will work, sometimes not.

Yes removing the cat will give you a check engine light. But the other issue you have, it will get LOUD, I mean really loud.

Not sure if you could do a complete car delete. I guess you could sell the car, that would count right?

If you do a cat delete, definitely think about putting another resonator in line...

There's no reason to delete a cat completely. Do the world a favor and put a high flow in at least. No cat on a car can have a nasty resonation noise. 4 cylinders in particular. I even ran a high flow cat on my 560whp race car because I hated the sound of the straight pipe.

I run no cats on my JCW. OBX headers, had the exhaust shop make me a delete pipe, 90* adapter to fool the computer. No codes. Sounds sweet. I get many compliments.

Full JCW exhaust with No modification, btw. don't remove the resonator.

Video for thought. My car does like to make fire some times
