Good or bad, its cool.

I love how when I floor my MINI from a stop and I go to shift from 1st to 2nd I can get the tires to squeal. I don't know if thats good or bad or if I can't operate the clutch properly, but I think its damned cool

It puts wear on your clutch, tranny, and axles, but the car can handle it as long as you don't use super grippy tires and a lot of extra hp.

I tend to shift without chirping the tires to minimize wear. just smooth
shifting.

While it is fun to do and sounds neat, it isn't the fastest way to accelerate from a stop. Certainly you do wear your MINI more if you do it regularly.
Usually tires make noise as they loose traction. Try letting out your clutch just a bit slower and ease on the throttle for a smooth launch.

If it wears out your tires then you get to buy better tires sooner.
If it wears out your clutch you'll learn how to be smooth and quiet.

Actually, if you time it correctly, you can let off the clutch and mash the
gas super quick without getting a jolt into 2nd.

Turn off the traction control, and you may get more than just a standard chirp.

Cool, but too much loss of traction is not good obviously if your, um, um, needing to go faster .

I haven't floored it long enough to see if I can get it in every gear, by the time I hit 3rd I'm usually backing off because I'm well over ... well, I'm not going to say because I don't want to talk about excessive speed, just to say that its too fast.
