Anybody buy from Redlinegoods.com?

Hello. Has anyone purchased a handbrake boot for their 05/06 Cooper? How did it fit?

I recently purchased handbrake and shifter boots for my girlfriends 2005 R50 cvt. The craftsmanship was great. I contacted Redlinegoods.com to tell them that the shift boot was perfect but the handbrake boot wasn't made like the stock one. It took a lot of time, trimming, and gluing to make it more or less work.

After a few emails back and forth and a few pictures sent it appears they sent me the wrong boot. I've sent a couple emails since hoping to get the correct boot or correct their pattern but now they won't respond.

I want a new handbrake boot for my 06 but not if it's going to be like the one they sent for the 05.

How was your experience?

Fit was good for both - had no issues.

My stock handbrake boot has a loop on each side and a small tab on the back. Did your new boot have that? The one they sent me had a straight bottom with four tabs on each side.

I leatherwrapped everything in my R56 from them. Great product. Buy Barge Cement to do anything that needs to be glued.

I have used them for both my BMW's. Fit and finish was spot on and the price was good as well.

So it looks like everyone has had good luck except me :(

The quality of the products was great, customer service sucks. You can email back and forth long enough to establish an error, but when you try to rectify it the stop responding.

Anybody ever get a leather handbrake boot from somewhere else? Who else makes them?

'06 MCS here: bought shifter boot, hb boot and armrest covers from Redline. Very happy with quality. HB boot was a little fiddly to fit (superglue is your friend), but happy with the result.

UPDATE: I just got a response from Redlinegoods.com about the handbrake boot. Apparently the pattern they've been using isn't like the stock boot. Their pattern does more or less work, it's just a bit of a project to get the desired end results.

I'm sending them my stock boot so they can get an exact pattern on record. My faith has been restored in Redlinegoods
