Anyways, I have an iTunes (and iPod) playlist that I call the Lowrider Mix. It's basically slower, bass-heavy electronic which sounds like what you'd hear coming out of an old Cadillac bouncing through Compton. Here it is (most of it is in the iTunes US store):
Groove Armada - Suntoucher (feat. Jeru the Damaja)
DJ Shadow - Fixed Income
The Prodigy - Diesel Power
Amon Tobin - Four Ton Mantis
Leftfield - Dusted
Tosca - Honey (Markus Kienzl dub)
DJ Shadow - Walkie Talkie
Mr. Scruff - Jusjus (feat. Roots Manuva)
The Prodigy - You'll Be Under My Wheels
Leftfield - Afrika Shox (feat. Afrika Bambataa)
Underworld - Bruce Lee (The Micronauts Remix)
If you have a keen sense of the irony of blasting out phat beats from a small British car, you'll appreciate this playlist.

I've found some good sources of this kind of music on Internet radio. Does any of this stuff end up on Sirius or XM or Delphi? If I could find enough of it, that might be enough to convince me to install satellite radio in my car!

Jazz Samba
Finally had enough non-rainy days in a row to Zaino my brand new 05 MCS. I was out in the driveway with Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd's "Jazz Samba" playing on the car's stereo, and everything was just clickin' - the jazz, the applicator zipping back and forth, the sweet smell of Z2.
"Tillie, baby," I said, "you must have a little Brazilian in your soul!"
Then it dawned on me - she does!

I've found rock kind of tiresome of late but a few groups have merged the rock with the dance and I really like the results like the Killers, Gwen Stefani, Fischerspooner, Scissor Sisters, in combination with remixers like Jacques Lu Cont (aka Thin White Duke).
Fav motoring Song
So...im bored at work and was wondering what everyones favorite "song" (not song*s*) is to motor to. Im not talking about your favorite song to listen to normally. I want to know what song makes you wanna zip around that turn at break neck speeds, like a F1 driver. The song that really puts you in the mood for spirited driving. So if you can narrow it down, list the one song and artist below!
I'll start it off with mine (which happens to be 80's-taculer)
Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone

I won't produce my entire driving file from my iPod, but a couple of stand-outs would be:
Highway Star - Deep Purple
Bad Motor Scooter - Montrose
Good Rockin Tonight - Montrose

In a national poll released today Canadians voted their favourite driving songs:
1) Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams
2) Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
3) Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf
4) It's only Rock & Roll - The Rolling Stones
5) Drive my Car - The Beatles
6) Free Falling - Tom Petty
7) Radar Love - Golden Earring
This was a Pontiac G5 poll, released to coincide with Pontiacs' attempt to have the largest group sing along in Montreal & Toronto.
1,000 Canadians were asked to choose from a list submitted by a panel of music journalists.

This topic pops up a lot, but I am feeling too lazy to merge this thread with a previous one...so: I love "Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf!
