Speedo "glass" buzzing

My 2004 R50 has developed a vibration in the plastic "glass" of the speedo. I can stop it by putting my finger anywhere on the piece. Has anybody else had a similar issue and a fix? No, it's rather awkward driving around with one hand pressed on the speedo so that would not be a "fix"

thanks

Al

might sound weird, but does it have a glare? Some people replace theirs with antiglare lenses and it does rattle.

Just take it off, open her up and lay some padding around the edges

No, you have to take it off and unscrew it from behind. Maybe you could put a bit of silicone in an edge

Yea, you have to pop off the trim ring onto that lens. The trim ring and center cluster trim as a whole might not be screwed or snapped in all the way. Two screw that are torx head go into the bottom lip on the dash , make sure they are tight.

#2 with those two screws and snaps in on the bottom.

is there any trick to unsnapping the trim ring without removing the center section of the dash? My feeling was that I could put several pieces of either foam tape or felt around the inside of the trim ring and put it back on.

You could do that , chek the digram. or here

I took min out by the whole trim as the trim ring are in there pretty tight and i did not want to snap one of the tabs.
