Front marker light replacement?

I have an 08/2003 R53 and I now have a set of Ziza LED front marker bulbs. I'm looking to replace the standard yellow bulbs with these but I can't quite figure out how to remove the old ones. I figure they're #5 in this diagram...

... but I can't figure out how to remove the socket. My Bentley manual does not seem to include the marker bulbs, only the turn signal bulbs, and those instructions are not very clear.

Some help here:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...leds-sale.html

Twist the base unit out ( Black base ) quarter turn #3 , Then take the stock wedge bulb out #5 . Then replace with the Ziza bulb. If they dont light up at first test, pull out and swap 180 degrees as they are polarity sensitive.

We go over the replacement of the side marker bulb, side turn indicators, etc in our Replacing Lenses and Bulbs DIY.

Pelican, I'm talking about the front market bulbs, the DRLs.

ECS, that's what I've been trying to do, it just seems like the black base won't twist out. I have removed the wiring harness, but the #3 black base refuses to turn.

Been there , done that.

Its stuck a little , they can get dirt on that and be pretty tight to get out. Turn to the left , first grab it with your thumb and index finger. Some silicone spray between the socket and the light fixture gap will help. Then twist out which pushing in a hair.

Great, yea, it takes a bit of force on any of those plug types if they have never been turned.

WD-40 works wonders... Especially on that "years old" brittle plastic.

+1 that also will work, good point, just make sure not to get it on the bulbs itself.
