Stripe ideas on R53

Hi all! I am pondering painting stripes on to my hood and front bumper of my MCS as I will be refinishing the front end due to 10 years of road debris, pitting, etc.

My idea is two parallel white stripes with a small border on the outside to be run down the middle but am open to other ideas. Has anyone done any stripe work on their rides other than the OEM decals? I'd be interested in seeing your results.

Thanks in advance and for posting!

Sounds like an interesting concept! What's your color theme? If you need help with them we do have a DIY that may be of assistance.

A part of me really wants to do sticker bomb stripes but it seems too immature

I painted mine on. For right now, gloss black where the original stripes were. No white outlines. I like it a whole lot better than the decals. Next spring I will be modifying them as I don't like the transition of the matte black aero grill right next to the gloss black stripe. Forgive the unbuffed inter cooler intake. It's done now. I'm hoping to get nice final pictures tomorrow and update my build thread as to the final outcome.

Stripes

anyone know of someone that has put stripes across the bonnet similar to what Ford did with the Boss 302 Mustang. Just curious

I install stripes all the time during the warmer months. Ask away but please give examples of what you're wanting questions on

My favorite has always been the boomerang used on the Gen1 Checkmates.

I'm thinking of a repaint, too, on my '03 Indi blue s. Will run the stripe horizontal across the hood with a circle for a number. Don't have photo but look up the old Cooper T 56 or 66 to see it.

That looks great, and I'll be going painted as well. I run a body shop so I have access to a paint booth. Giggity!
