JCW Front Bumper Lip Question

I have a 2013 S with the JCW exterior kit and I did a horrible thing... For as careful as I am entering and exiting driveways, one driveway won... I went to pull in, even going in at an angle and it was so tall that I broke my plastic trim on the bottom of the bumper.

Here's my question, I have the one piece trim that runs from one end to the other of the front bumper and has a little cover that goes in the middle as a finishing piece. I have found that there is also a two piece trim kit for the JCW bumper but I cannot find out if it is interchangeable with the one piece or which one is newer? I am asking because the two piece is cheaper since ECS Tuning (who I love) wants to charge me about 120 dollars to ship the one piece trim...

Thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for the love.

Yea, You have the updated wider lower lip. The clips are for the 3/2012+ bumper, so going to the two section might not work.

On the shipping where are you located . Its a big section in a box, goes the whole front end, even though its light, so its not damaged on transit. Add to cart and select the shipping option that best fits what you want. Then checkout and see what the cost is. It will auto calculate.

Currently some on sale. Limited amount. 51117283330

You will have to pull the whole front bumper cover to replace. It's not that hard to do, Helix has a good video on how to do this on their website (the video is actually for replacing the intercooler). Some of the fasteners are tricky to locate for the first time.

Definitely go with the one that ECS Tuning linked to, don't risk getting one that won't quite fit.

Thanks for the info! I ended up ordering from my MINI dealer because I didn't have to ship it making it cheaper overall. Had no idea I needed to pull the bumper cover, so that is nice to know before I try to do this job haha!

Thanks!!
