Headlight Replacement

This tread is not about how to, but on which ones!!!

My headlight are shot on my 2006 R53. I've done the restores, but it's time for them to go. I've been looking at after markets and there are several I like but they say 2002-2005. Others I do not care for say 2002-2006. I'm ??????.

Straight up...If it will fit 2002-2005 it will fit 2006, right?

Thank you for your time,

MiniBuff

Do you have halogen headlights stock or Xenon. Here are some options:

Most prefer the halogen projectors if the have halogen. If the have factory xenons they prefer the halogen projectors then convert to aftermarket Xenon in them.

I have the stock halogen lamps. I am looking at projection. I have a set pick out in style, but I just need to reinforce my thought pattern that these headlights that say 2002-2005 will fit my 2006. Is this correct?

With your new headlights, look into headlight protection film. Xpel has a kit that works for your R53 HERE. I, personally, use this product and it has worked very well for many years. This way you wont have to run into this issue again and have to buy new headlights.

Thank you all for you comments and suggestions. I have purchased the set I've been look at. It says they will fit '02 - '05, so I've decided they will fit my '06.

Thank you all again!!

Does anybody make an aftermarket headlight That has provisions for the headlight washer? I see a headlight that is made by spider that have led in the side and have the same shape as the headlight washer but I emailed them and they said they don't support the washer? What is the point of making them look like they have a washer if they don't?

Yea, not currently for what we have. Only the Spyder for Gen 2 MINIs have that option, first company I have seen done that. If one does come up we will let you know.

You could mod it.
