Stamped on one side of the sensor is SIEMENS, but on the other I found this
Not everything has BMW written all over it...

It's hard to read, but think you are showing the Rover stamp? Cool. The low speed fan resistor problem/fix is also shared with Rover...

Maybe it would be good to start an interchange thread. I found the front main seal (behind the damper) and PCV valve to have Chrysler part numbers on them. Way cheaper at the local Chrysler dealer, too.

Early MINI part when rover was still making things awesome find.

Lots of cross over on Chrysler on the Tritech Gen 1 and PSA ( Peugeot ./ citron )
on the Gen 2 engine.

Previous owner of an 87 Range Rover and a 96 Discovery. I remember a website devoted to other manufacturers parts that would work on a Land Rover. It was extremely helpful and saved me a lot of money with LR prices so high.

One example is the fuel pump. The Land Rover pump is $800 but a fuel pump from a 90's Impala fits perfectly and is only $60.

While I think it's pretty cool my Mini might have some Rover parts, I hope there aren't too many lol

There are some , but most were switch out to BMW suppliers. Of course you know the head units guts , CD changers, and some electronics were shared on rover ( Land rover & Range Rover ) with the BMW buy out. Parts were much cheaper on the BMW side, if they had a Rover emblem on it add 30%

My R53 is an August 2006 build, right before or around the time R56 production started so a Rover part is still an interesting find

That's pretty late in the game on 05' did not have a rover tag on it , thought it was 2002-2003 cars. Might have been a old stock part or something. But cool find none the less.

No stamp on the new ones . 34526756384 front

The front driver's side was bad on mine . I think that's the most common side but not sure? I had changed the brakes about a month prior and had actually first noticed that the front passenger side rotor did not have much scoring on it, so I assumed that was the side that needed to be replaced. I realized after replacing the passenger side that the extra scoring on the driver's side (and the trifecta lights not turning off, of course) meant that side was really the culprit.

Yep, hard to tell , unless you have a scanner that reads it of can see it. I replaced mine in pairs unless I can get it read by a scanner.
