HELP! 05 r53 cold no start and no clicking whats wrong

Went to go start my mini this morning and some mornings it's taken a little longer to start up but it was only once a week when it's colder but this morning I went out and there was no turning over but still sounded like some juice in the battery not sure if it's alternator or batter if anyone has any suggestions please let me know

Definitely test your battery. Start at the easiest place first.

Battery Replacement DIY, which should give you some good info as well.

ok I'll check that when I got in it seemed like everything was slower and dimmer should I test the battery and if it's fine should I try jump starting myself with the push the car and leave it in a gear?

Test the Battery with a LOAD tester, this will determine if you have the available cold cranking amps the battery is rated for. This also is a great way of determining the overall condition the battery is in (whether or not you have a dead/or near dead cell(s).

If you jump the car the preferred method is with Jumper Cables, and allowing the on board electrical system to do its part.... IF you decide to PUSH start the car (manual transmission) this will only work if the battery still has enough power remaining to work the on board electrical system, for example: fuel pump, ignition, so on...

Best of luck...

Motor on!

The battery is perhaps the most important electrical component on the car, and due to its design and nature, is perhaps one of the most troublesome. Before doing anything drastic like replacing your starter or looking at your fuel injection ECU, you should make sure that your battery is in good condition. How old is it/how many miles are on the car? When was the last time you replaced it? I would use jumper cables when jumping the car.

Battery Replacement DIY, which should give you some good info as well as help you with replacing it if the battery is bad.
