R50/53 Adjustable rear control arms
Adjustable rear control arms
K so I have an 05 mini s, it's lowered and I'm trying to buy some control arms to fix my camber. The only problem is where ever I order them from there's a few month wait, I order some from partsgeek.com and they sent me used ones. Does anyone know a reliable place I could get them from?
Rear adjustable control arms or stock trailing arms for the toe ?

Helix, do you know the total camber dimensions of the arms. The reason I am buying is I lowered my mini and I am getting really bad uneven wear on my back tires. I will not be racing at all just a daily driver.

Looks like you got it handled, but also have the Hotchkis Adjustable Control Arms as well. Hotchkis Sport Rear Camber Links are perfect for lowered Minis. Camber Adjustable from 0 to -4 degrees. Either way, good luck and hope this solves the uneven wear problem on the back tires.

Unfortunately, just called our supplier and looks like they're on back order. We do, however, have the Alta Performance adjustable control arms available and to ship right away. They're about the same price. ALTA control arms are adjustable for fine tuning of camber and toe without having to remove and install the linkage. Just another option as well.

Our control arms have enough adjustment to allow for zero camber with a car sitting on airbags. They'll also adjust for cars that are raised like an off-road Countryman. There are basically two types of control arms, ones like ours, with spherical bearings, and ones with turnbuckles and poly busings. Both have their advantages. The ones with turnbuckles (H-Sport, etc.) are durable at the rod ends but fail at the turnbuckle: non-like metals (aluminum and steel) corroding to a point where they are seized. They're also way heavier. The ones with spherical bearings (like the Helix) are susceptible to corrosion at the bearing surface, and if they are poor quality bearings, they'll clatter from the start. We've addressed these issues by packing the best bearings available in a lubricant under a rubber boot, much like factory axles. No part is invincible, but we believe that we have the lightest, strongest, most durable control arms on the market.
