PLS help confirm the part # for the gearbox/clutch flywheel rattle in neutral issue

Can someone please clarify and confirm the upgraded flywheel part number for the gearbox/clutch rattle in idle/neutral while in neutral issue ASAP?

This is for a 2004 Mini Cooper Sport, VIN# TK75588. I need to order the part but the dealer says this isn't the right part for my Mini.

The part number I've researched is: 21207548804

Dealer says I need OEM Part#: 21207532057

Valeo makes a single mass conversion for r50/52/53 for around 400$, best bang for the buck mod/upgrade. The kit comes with a new single mass flywheel, pressure plate, clutch and throwout bearing. Great cure for that worn noisy flywheel and throwout bearing. When you replace the clutch, slave cylinder replacement is good a preventitive measure. Summer time is normally when they decide to puke their guts out. Hope that helps, I'll try to find the part number.

Bav auto sells the kit for 399$…its a steal at that price, half of what the OEM dual mass flywheel goes for.http://www.bavauto.com/fland.asp?par...pQrxoCq5nw_wcB

RealOEM lists the same part number as the dealer gave you ...

RealOEM - R53 Twin Mass Flywheel

Don't buy the part from a dealer though.

Just to clarify, I'm in Australia and the car is Right Hand drive. Can I get other opinions before ordering because the labor itself is going to cost $900 AUD at a Mini Dealership and not even sure they'll do it.

This kit cures the Gearbox/Flywheel rattle while in neutral issue? Does anyone else use this brand and kit?

Thanks Miniac! I found the part on Ebay for $657USD, that's $850AUD. To buy that part here and get it shipped from Germany will cost $1250 from the Mini Dealer.

I have installed maybe 15 of these kits, work great no rattle, would not recommend using stealership for install.

Thanks Team, I'll go with the Valeo! What other light mods should I do while the front end is off? I just got the car yesterday and drive it from Sydney to Melbourne and it did great apart from the flywheel rattle.

What does the pulley mod do? Do any JCW tuning kit parts retofit into the S model? What are some nice throaty sounding exhaust pipes?

Edit: I'm trying to order from Bavauto to order, do they ship to Australia? Is there any vendors that ship to Down Under?

Thanks Team, I got the Valeo SMF and Clutch Kit, OEM Slave Cylinder and all seals.

Next, I'm looking for a pulley kit.

Has anyone used the Mini Madness 15% Lightweight Pulley Kit?

I'm looking for a great, value exhaust that's compatible for Euro spec RHS drive cars.

Also, looking for a short throw shifter. Is the WMW Value Short Shifter a good value?
