No worries. Morrigan will get here when she gets here. I assume she'll arrive around the same time as Katie. And hopefully, she won't be too sad parting with all her shipmates.

 

Does anybody know some of the names of the NYK ships that make the trek from Southampton to Port Huemene, CA. I have a list of NYK car transports and I know of the Southampton website to check what is In Port. However, I don't know which ones make the trip through the Panama Canal and I can't get to the NYK Schedules page. Thanks.

 

Holy Crap, for once the OL has more up to date information that the automated ASKMINI. ASKMINI says that my vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel... talk about so 2 weeks ago!!!

 

OL updated for me today, now Awaiting Transport, but no EDD and still nothing showing on the WW site for my VIN. I feel like I am going through withdrawls...I can't STAND not knowing exactly where my car is or when I will finally have my hands on the wheel! These detailed tracking sites have me so obsessed. I am just thankful for forums like these where I can get my daily (hourly) MINI fix.

My MA says it will be about 2 1/2 more weeks before it is in the dealership - may as well be 2 1/2 years.

 

Well, MOTH called today and my car has arrived there! They wanted to know if I had any accessories to add from the accessories catalog they sent last week, but quite frankly I'm pretty happy with what I ordered.

I was originally told when I ordered the car on 6/24 that it would be the second week in September before I could pick it up, so that is how I worked my schedule, so I am going September 16 to pick it up (by train and ferry). So it was ordered 6/24, completed production 8/12, and at the dealer 8/26. Not bad!

I told MOTH to just put a sold sign on it and put it in the showroom. I've been told that dealers do not have any "field" cars yet, they have all been sold - so this will give them a 2005 to display. Purple haze with red/black interior and white everything else - what a car to display! And with the chrono pak, no speedo in the middle - I can hear all the booos now......

Guess now I will e-mail them with my programming choices - lets see what they choke on!

 

I'm awaiting transport too. I looked at the Charleston schedule and the next ship from Southampton arrives on 9/10. Don't know if they might put our cars on another line though.

I'm "Awaiting Transport" also. And I have been since last Saturday, the 21st.

I'm in California, so I get the long wait...

 

Mine was born Aug 19th and I'm also awaiting transport to CA. I think there is a ship heading our way on the 28th so keep your fingers crossed.

Where did you get the information on the 28th? I am awaiting transport, and have been since 8/16, and heading to Utah via California. Just curious as to where you got that date of the 28th. I do hope you are right, would be nice to see that status change to En Route. Fingers crossed, toes crossed, ....eyes crossed?

2005LY, talked to Amy late yesterday. She told me The Car was on the boat , and she would let me know when an EDD would be set, but that the EDD is only an estimate. She guessed about 2 weeks to delivery.


She also said that the two cars may not be processed at the same time, and that they could be on different trucks, etc..

I was really pumped about getting it next week, so talking to her was a real big let down. But, she got me bumped from October to September so I guess I shouldn't be too disappointed.

I went to the WW site and checked for ships going form southhampton to port hunmne. Departs 8/28 and arrives in Oxnard on 9/21 last time I checked.

Since we missed the ship that left on 8/21 let's hope we make 8/28.

Hey there Patrick, only flaw in your theory is this..... Have you gone out to the WW site and seen your VIN number scanned into their system? If it was shipping with WW, they would have scanned it as being received at terminal. I know this is not the case for my VIN but I will keep checking the WW website between now and Sunday. However, I think it will be shipping via NYK lines which nobody knows the schedule because their websites aren't as 'user-friendly' as WW's. But who knows, maybe WW will take over the shipping (as they might be the next shipper leaving Southampton en route to CA). Again, keep your fingers crossed. Side note: You are the Utah Alum, right? GO UTES.

 

Shhh I'm thinking positive I know my car has been sitting at the port of exit since 8/20 or 8/21 so I would hope with the already obvious supply problems on the West coast MINI wouldn't have switched to a carrier with worse schedules. From a logistics perspective it would cause problems for the VPC to get fewer shipments (theory being you want to have as smooth of an input flow as possible versus large surges). If WW comes once a week I would hope that some poor fellow at MINI isn't screwing up changing to NYK.

Hooray..... my MCS is at the VPC!!!! EDD on the OL is set for tom. I hope Julie at Classic takes a lot of pics of it for me... so, if any good hearted soul goes to Classic Mini in Ohio and finds my beloved Casper (05 PW/B MCS, prem. pkg, xenons, h & k stereo, front fogs) wave a nice hello to it for me :smile: ... pics would be great as well....

 

pics...yeah...maybe that will get me through the next couple of weeks...


Anyone out there have any pics of a 2005 DS/B MCS with the Chrome Exterior package? Jon sent me some with different exterior colors a while back to see the chrome package, which I really appreciated, but a picture of an 05 DS/B MCS would sure make the wait easier....

I got an update on OL this moring. EDD 9/2. Hope it is accurate.

 

Yeah! I just found out that our new mini, Percy, was born yesterday. It's funny, I feel like passing out cigars. He is sitting, awaiting shippment. His final destination is Classic Mini in Ohio. The OL site says awaiting transport, but there is no tracking info at WW yet. Now the intense wait begins.

 

When OL lists our EDD, is that delivery to the dealership or to the owner? My listed EDD is 9/2 and I haven't heard from my MA.
