Do you have any pictures or information on fitting the r53 jcw side skirts to the r53. That looks really good. I would like to do that to mine.

I fit the R56 side skirts not the R53, and I really don't have any pictures of when I did that part of the build, but I was working along side a body shop on it, and it took about a month to fit them to an R53. The length of the skirt is about a 1/2 inch overall to short, the top sill doesn't fit right without being cut, the top edge doesn't fit the body right, the clips to hold it to the car have different bracketing, etc. I would honestly not suggest it as it is a pain in the butt mod really. We had to modify every side of the skirt but the bottom in some way and it still didn't match up perfectly. It did turn out nice, BUT it is by far not just a weekend mod, or a easy mod, that is the reason there are only 3 I know of that did it before me.

I am running 205x45x17 Michilin Pilot Super Sports. Love them, I have not noticed any handling changes because of weather, even in wet conditions which is awesome.

Oh yeah I wouldn't expect you to. Michelin PSS's are simply the best street performance tire.

It should still be under warranty from the MINI dealer. Make sure to disconnect your battery so your car doesn't catch fire... seriously.

Yeah I did immidiatly after I searched it, the problem is I have a 2006 so its not under the warranty. Also, I literally have 2300 miles on this pump I just replaced at the beginning of the summer when I was doing the front subframe work from NAPA, I really just don't want to have to take the entire from end of the poor car apart again because of another crappy pump.

Don't worry, I just swapped mine out. I wanted brand new and paid dearly for it. But it took me 45 minutes start to finish to swap out the pump. You don type have to drop the subframe to get it out. It slides out thru the front after taking out the bolts, wire, and disconnecting the hoses. It really is the easiest swap I have done on this car.

As stated on another post - the subframe doesn't need to come down. I did this and it took about an hour and a half -- 30 minutes of it trying to figure out how to wiggle the pump out of its location and down from the subframe. Given how much of the work you have done yourself this should be a piece of cake.

Those jack points get knocked. Just mount up the new one and push the plug through and your done. Mine all all chipped up over the years from rocks, need to replace them, but did not loose one for 250K miles.

Yeah I know what took mine off it was the weights off a wonderful orange Michigan construction barrel, I was getting on the highway a few weeks back early in the morning so it was dark and the barrel was in the between lanes so I didn't move over and then hit the weights of it that I didn't see till 2 second before that were in my lane, my front tire went directly over then and it took out the front clips on my skirt so I think that's where the Jack point went too

So the cold weather is starting coming in an I have steering pump issues going on right now fighting with NAPA over the power steering pump so the MINI is done for the season. So now its time to start the agenda for this winter. I am planning on doing the tie-rod ends both inner and outer as they are seized up, and put a ATI harmonic dampener on as the crank pulley is starting to go bad. Also I am going to try to add a RMW header and tune as I have the motor setup like I want.

Ok got some time over Thanksgiving break to wrap up the power steering pump, put on a ATI harmonic dampener, and replace the tired ends. I also switched my coolant and power steering tanks to the new ones that M7 sells, which look really good but are kinda a pain in the butt to install. I gave the MINI a good wash and put it where its gonna be for the next months till the warm weather returns to michigan. I have a cover coming for it too.

For real - curious, what is on the lift above it?

Got my cover for the Checkmate today from Covercraft and it fits perfect. I am very happy with it, I feel much better knowing I have a protecting layer between the my paint and all the surroundings. And the cover looks nice on it too
