Rain Sensor Confusion

I have a question about the rain sensor feature in my 2004 S. Can you leave it in auto sensing all the time and will it work everytime you start your car? OR do you have to reactivate each time? Mine seems to require reactivation everytime I start my car. Am I alone?

Ditto. Hey, and if you didn't know already, the back wiper is autosensing, too!

No it was designed so that the rain sensing wipers do not work when you restart the car...

This was done to prevent an owner from forgetting the wipers are on and taking the car into a car wash and potentially damaging the wipers...

I swear that it is! Try it out next time it is raining. I forget what position on the dial it is. Unless they just added it - Dobby was built a few months ago...

No, that's the intermittant setting... Although it's timed really well.

I think the rear wiper is timed in some way as the autosensing wiper in the front. I know that the rear isn't autosensing, because there is no sensor back there, but it does seem to speed up or slow down in relation to the front wiper.

It really does! Maybe the two are linked to go at the same time. I swear that it speeds up and slows down on it's own, and it all seems to be in relation to how much water is on it...

The rear wipes every third time the front wipes.
