Mini in need of some love ; thanks

hello everyone, while looking over the site and other threads there seems to be all sorts of different info on what the issues or what to replace the items with so i wanted to see if i could get some updated help on what i should be looking for/fixing.

i'll add some pictures to make the issues easy to see and understand..

Mini in need of some love ; thanks-s6gtawu.jpg

thats the first one.. its only been lit up from the right side since i've gotten the car.. after my girlfriend pointing it out on the drive home from picking it up i've been meaning to get it fixed up but wasn't sure if i replaced it with a led bulb if it'd look different then the rest of the lighting? if so then just to replace both bulbs with some oem replacements to have everything else look the same..

Mini in need of some love ; thanks-syrjuud.png

same deal.. noticed that one of the sides was out.. can i replace all four corners with led's to never have to worry about these again?

Mini in need of some love ; thanks-rdzu7sx.png

the sneaky Pete who sold me the car didnt tell me this thing was damaged so after i put in a phone charger and tried to remove it a few weeks later the whole thing came out and i felt like i was ripping my entire wiring out with it.. im guessing i just need a new "plug" ?

Mini in need of some love ; thanks-8g2di48.png

the newest feature... when putting the window up or down and it gets to about 50% up or down.. it makes this loud clunk sound.. loud enough that i fear if i keep putting that window up or down its just going to fall into the door one day and cost me even more to repair

reason im doing everything in bulk is because my driver speaker has also been blown as of about a month so in ordering those to replace i want to do a overhaul and just repair everything at once along with oil and such.. if i wanted a aux input is this the best one to go with?

Mini in need of some love ; thanks-tso9nyi.jpg

thats the mini that i'd like to keep over all working, thanks for the help and time

I too have the same lights out on the temp panel (but mine can be tapped back on). I don't have a fix yet, as it's not really a big deal to me. Worst case, go to a wrecker and get a replacement cluster.

I changed the entire 12v socket recently along with the orange light up ring. I found the parts numbers for mine on real OEM and ordered them from Pelican. It was easy and cheap (but it was a bit of a pain getting the assembly put back in correctly)

i'll see if i can read the part number off of mine to order or just find it on their webpage..

its not so much that it not lighting up bothers me its just a bunch of little things i've been putting off.. like a light here.. a sound there.. its gotten to the point where the list is larger then i'd like so im trying to get all my ducks in a row to knock them all out at once rather then let the car get to a stage where it "only" has 30 things i need to take care of lol

For your window ... It sounds like it might be the Window Lifter Washer (item 3) ... but check the whole thing

Best of luck.

Motor on!

No need to look for a part number on the actual part (it may not even be on there like on bulbs).

Go to real OEM's site and configure it for your car (then bookmark it)
http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do

Use the image drill down to find the part number, then use that part number at one of the participating site vendors like ECS or Pelican. Easy-peezy

ordered the little orange lighter thing to take out and try to replace

still gotta find what bulb goes on the dash and if i should order a whole window regulator or if its just a gear in there i have to replace?..

You will need the door card off to check and see whats wrong with the window. Could be a simple nylon part cracked or the cable snagged up on the drum. Light is (IIRC) pull the control and change the globe. LED will look different, but look how long t hey last anyway. Lighter/Power Socket is quite straightforward.

Was the plug and wringing ok, was the lens cracked at all ?

Thats right here. They break and the socket then sticks out and not flush. Just replace it and GTG.

"still gotta find what bulb goes on the dash and if i should order a whole window regulator or if its just a gear in there i have to replace?.."

Think its LEDs for that section. You will have to get a new switch or dissect the old ones and solder in a new leds.

For the window regulator or motor you have to determine which one it , motor or regulator , you will have to take off the door card and inspect the motor and regulator.

Form the sound it could be the track of the regulator or the pulley/ gears/

Thanks
