Hi everyone,

I just joined after lurking for a couple weeks. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone here for a great community for Mini Lovers.

I placed my order for a Mini Cooper S (DKS/B) at the end of May. I'm soooooooooo excited I'm driving everyone around me crazy. I hope to learn from all of you and offer my two cents when I can.

Eventually on the Aero Kit. Trying to keep the cost down initially since I'm paying cash. Most likely in a few months I'll bring it in for the JCW and Aero Kit.

As for the wheels, I really like the design, but I will most likely get some after markets that are similar. To be honest, I really haven't decided. Just got the standard 17"ers for now.

asodestrom: I'm orginally from the Oakland Hills area. Up by Skyline High School if ya know where that is. I've moved around all over the bay, now residing in Hayward. I plan to move to the south bay somewhere (closer to work) within the next few months. Possibly back over to the Penninsula. I loved living in Foster City/San Mateo.

minihune: Thanks for the comments on the sig. Just something I whipped up in a few free minutes at work (which isn't very common). There's SOOOOOO many posts here with SOOOOOOOOO much information, I felt like I had to read up on everything before joining! Before finding this site and Gabe's Motoring File, I really didn't know much about the MINI except that I WANTED ONE!!!! It seems like there's so many intricacies to the MINI I'm glad I was able to read up on it before my order went off to the factory (which should happen this week).

I'm currently writing a blogging system specifically for tracking everything about my MINI. I'll add a link to my sig if anyone cares to check it out. Just remember it's still seriously under construction (including the whole site). And, of course, there's not much there since I'm painfully awaiting it's arrival.

Welcome to NAM. This site will keep you sane while you wait for your car. My IB/IB MCS is now at the vehicle distribution center. :smile: Next week I will finally have it. It has been a Long Nine Months. I could not have done so well without NAM and the ability to get my MINI fix at this site.NAM is a source of good info on future modifications and accessories. Figuring out what you are going to add to your MINI is a good way to pass time. Good luck.

tmgrobyn: Hehehe, blogoholic? Well, I wouldn't say I'm that bad, but I just thought it'd be fun to track my MINI progress from my perspective. So as I add things, fix things, or just have fun, I'll post something. At the moment I made my sig clickable, directing you to my site. Just remember I'm still working on it (programatically). I'll post as often as I can, and feel free to make comments.

I ended up ordering my MINI from MINI of Mountain View since there was such a long waiting list at East Bay MINI. I did, unfortunately, have to pay a $2000 premium.

I'm not too upset, since after all, I'M GETTING A MINI!!!!

motormad: I don't think I can handle nine months. You obviously have more patience than I.

Is it September yet?

 

BTW, in regards to my site. Feel free to register for the site. Don't worry, I'm not doing anything with the information. Hi Winechic, I have seen several Minis around, none of them seem to be on NAM. What color is yours? I'll watch for it.

I haven't gotten mine yet due to some unfotuneate circumstances I won't be motoring until Augustish. I have ordered LY/blk MCS. I live in the rincon valley area and see two minis regularly, one brg with union jack top, I see it in it's drive way all the time and a CR/BLK both MC's That is about it, I know of a few folks with LY, but I think the rest are tourists. I'll keep on the look out for ya.

 

I ordered from out of state cuz I lack patience and did not with to pay the CA premiums. It'll end up being almost a six month wait in the end though cuz I had to re-order last week.

 

I'm over on the west side closer to Sebastopol. I go through Rincoln Valley on my way to Calistoga Road and Clear Lake. That is one incredible MINI Road! Especially the parts above Calistoga where there are lots of passing lanes in the corners
