Air Dam damaged

On a trip to PA this weekend I ran over some retread and caused damage to the drivers side of the air dam. Right now it held on with some zip ties. Does anyone know how much a new air dam cost. I might be able to re fit this one but there is a crack in the plastic. Also the cap that covered the hole for the fog light was gone missing it might still be in the bumper but I'm not sure I fell like paying money for that thing.

AeroKit is the answer

Take this opportunity to put on an front aerokit. You can get just the front, sids or rear seperatly. It prob wont cost that much more to do it this way. Check out:

I've had mine replaced with stock. (A despondant teen who had just lost her boyfriend and hadn't slept all night and was on her way to work and just didn't see the stop sign and so ran me into a tall curb.) I think it was about $35.00. Could be the cheapest part on the car!

Godspeed.
(Oh, and sorry about my sig, I'm trying to get it resized.)

The parts guy at the dealer said he has one in stock. $34.50. he was shocked at how cheap it was. He said "hold on I have to look if that’s the right thing". He came back and said that’s a good buy.

THANK YOU!!!! I added that site to my favorites, as I have the aero kit and it's nice to know I can get those items and do the work myself if something were to happen to my front end.
This site and the info people take the time to post here are great. Thanks again!

MINIKIM: Before you replace that front airdam,
you might want to put that mini on a lift and check
for further damage...
I had a similar experience hitting a peeled re-cap.
Thought it was just the airdam. Closer inspection
on a lift showed a cracked wheel well, skid plate,
and even some plastic clips that hold the fuel line
not to mention a few other items.
What at first I thought was minor, turned into
a trip to the body shop and an insurance claim
Hopefully your problem wasn't as severe, but if
that re-cap went under the car it's possible.

ALL (and i mean ALL oem parts) call or email brian flick at Classic Mini of Mentor (by cleveland). Get their prices, let them know you heard about them on NAM and that they are known to give the best prices on oem parts.. find out their price, then head over to your local dealer, get them to price match, and if so, YAY! if not, call classic and have them ship (cause it will still be cheaper than any vendor that sells the same part. Probably, unless it's a weird part... like a shorty antenna or something).

OEM aero-kit pieces are on sale at classic. If you dont want to go for that, just wait around until someone does get one, and wants to unload theirs for cheap. it will happen sooner than you think. just keep checking your local mini club's sites, and mini2.com and roadfly and of course, NAM's FOR SALE threads. it will come up. In fact, there are a couple up right now. Just a matter of finding the right color.

uhh.. i dont work for classic. i DID get my mini from classic, and i live in ohio, blah blah blah, but i am not affliated with them. But I DID have several good experiences with them and their service and sales staff.

good luck on that airdam!

Thanks for the tip. I might work on it tonight. If not it will wait until Sunday. I have looked at the car as close as I can with out jacking the thing. The only other damage was to the drives door. A black mark about 6x6 inches, some bug & tar remover go that off. I was left with four small scratches (less than a inch long) on the door.
