Thought I'd note I'm running fallen ziex tires 205/40/17, not a stock approved tire size but it rides quite nice. Way better than the bridgestones that came on it. Plus it looks way better.

Been researching a ton lately and come to this conclusion, i either want the kw v1's or the st's, if its possible for them to survive winters with a lubricant protectant. I read that boeshield T-9 can save them from rusting, after all they are $500 cheaper.

Bought a new shift ****, it's an m7 carbon fiber, minus the m7 logo and $50. Got it on amazon for $26 shipped, looks and feels good, installs with 3 set screws. The ball size is slightly smaller than stock. So here she is, sorry m7

Nothing wrong with omitting badges. As far as anyone's concerned my car is a bone stock r53. Yet it's not......

Couple shots of the Motegi FF7 wheels for anyone interested. Pretty cheap wheel but decent quality, weigh about the same as the bbs R90s.

R90 which are here i look very nice in person. They still have the BBS stamp on the back. Great deal.

Actually had a set, they needed serious refurb though, so they had to go. If ECS wants to send me a set that'd be great.

lol, no freebies at this time.

The price is pretty good as its been on sale, till they are gone. These are pretty pricier wheels to begin with.

Good luck with the mods, the R53 is looking nice.

Thanks all for the kind words

After a long month my Amazon carbon fiber wrap finally arrived from China. I plan on doing my side mirrors as soon as I get the chance but today I did the 3 spoke steering wheel trim. The wrap was $5 shipped, it's pretty thin I was able to cut it with my fingernail. I was in a hurry so it's a rushed job and I didn't hit it with the heat gun yet, anyways here's how it came out:

It's probably a lot thinner than the 3m since it's really cheap wrap, I thought it was pretty easy to use though. Next the side mirrors this weekend, not looking forward to removing the caps.

Received some parts from my favorite vendor ECS TUNING, with my inspection coming up i thought id better get my cel off and purchase a new leak detection pump. While i was at it i figured id get a set of aeros grilles since iv had my eye on them for a bit. Also ordered some new flange nuts for my grille since i knew i had lost a couple when i installed the JCW style grilles. Cant believe its a dollar a nut though! i found the easiest way to put the nuts on is to put a couple of them in the socket to screw them on better. I have only installed the top grille for now, ill wait for the weekend to modify the middle grille to fit.

Awesome, nicely done, those old self tap screw nuts are hard to get off , good thing you got new ones on hand.

Fine job on the Aero Grilles.

Middle aero grille installed, what a pain...used a Dremel for the slots in the bumper and the sanding roll attachment for thinning the actual grille. Came out pretty decent, doesn't sit flush but looks good either way. The Dremel bit i used at first was too big and kept getting away from me and after i scratched the front corner of my new grille i decided i better buy a sanding roll. So after an hour and a half in the snow, here she is:

Looks great, came out nice a flush at the ends !!

If someone wants to install the middle grille w/o using a dremmel/modding the bumper itself, here is a PDF file "how to" just modify the grille. ( only need to enlarge two slots I think )

I would also suggest folks use some black paint on the bumper area behind the middle grille area so the painted body color doesn't t show thru.
