that's Chris' car. those are HELLA's. he rigged up two sets of lights, wired to each brights. the angel eyes are wired directly to the parking lights. i helped with the install, very easy setup.

I ordered two sets (four) of the angel eyes today. $90.00 plus $6/$8 shipping UPS ground.

Now I just need to bribe someone to install them.

How'd You Do That?!?!

THose hellas are amazing!!! I just wanted to know if they are the hella optilux angel eyes 2500? If they are they are dirt cheap!! In terms of installation, do you have to have your driving lights on? can you turn the lights off and only leave on the angel eyes? How does it all work? And lastly, how about mounting, did you have to drill any holes into the body and did you have to drill through the firewall?

I like these lights alot and would appreciate your input....thanks.

Lukee

yes they are the hellas. that's not my car but i did help with the install. basically there's a custom mount on the grill for all 4 lights (a bar that runs across the front).

the angel eyes are wired to the parking lights, the driving lights are wired to the brights. we terminated the wire to the swtich b/c he wanted them on all the time and didn't want to have to feed anything through the gromit in the firewall.

for reference, the yellow/green wire running to the headlamps are for the brights that you need to tap into. the green wire on the parking lights are the ones you need to tap.

The night belongs to hafid

Excellent shots. Wonderful exposures.
I love the use of slopes and angles to display the MINIs.
Great job.
Save these and submit them for the next calendar or for GoMINI.
You own the night.

WOw....great job again....im interested to know if the lights could be mounted using the mini madness mounting brakets??? DO you have a pic of the bar you used? Also, is it possible to wire the angel eyes to the DRLs and the lamps to the xenons?

Thanks Again,
Luca

the lamps are too bright, plus that's highly illegal. i would advise against that. i also don't know if they'd fit the madness bracket as this is a custom one.

sorry, not being very helpful here :(

Hey Lukee, I am chris...the one who seems to have cause this Angel eye problem....LOL....I used the light bar from moss...the badge light bar...then had a friend of mine who works at a motorsports shop weld some custom plates on to the bar with holes for the lights....then I painted it black...I had to paint it cause of hte welds they were bare metal, rust is no good...and I didn't want to spend the $$ or wait for it to be re-chromed....heh ehh...as far as wiring goes I recomend wiring the DRLs into the brights...and the angels into the parking lights....one pair per side...this way there is no switches and running things through the fire wall...the switches are the Parking lights and the brights...good for letting folks know to move over at night when you are over 120...or anyspeed for that matter....

if you have an questions feel free to ask....

thought I'd through this one in since it seems to have missed out
