About last year I purchased and 03 Mini Cooper automatic(Ik Ik don't give me **** for it) with 35,000 miles. I am starting to understand the car and identifying the parts and their functions.

I did a routine check on my car and realize I need to replace ...

Brake Rotors
Brakes
Front strut upper mounts
Front shocks and struts

I plan on instating these parts on my own and wanted to get the best , most reliable deal on these parts that total up to $1,400 on some websites. Hope some Mini Cooper veterans can help me out. Thanks.

 

Pelican parts sells parts and even has some MINI DIY instructions, Rock Auto is another good place for online parts. You could also support some of the vendors who frequent here like outmotoring or Way motor works.

 

I just bought my r53 brakes from pelican they were the best prices for the Akebono pads and Zimmerman rotors, which seemed to be a good combo for the braking I was looking for.

Rock auto has decent "commodity" parts if you want oem style stuff...
most of the vendors here have decent performance or OEM+ stuff...often in kit form....with brake rebuild kits...IF THE PADS OFFERED MEETS YOUR NEEDS....

I hear good things about rock auto, and pelican too

Depending on which rotors/pads or suspension stuff you want, tire rack is also very competitive in price

these guys are up the road two hours from me..have had decent luck...
have brake rebuild kits with oem level parts, aftermarket, and performance......
kits from $219 to about $500 for all 4 , including pads and rotors..............maybe they will become a sponsor...

But most important is getting the RIGHT parts...aka...how do you use the car? Twisties? Daily Driver? Auto-X? Grocery Getter?

 

Thanks for all your comments, I will check out those websites. Also I know my at is pretty young but the shock mounts are cracked . And the brake rotors have a decent lip.
