Vacuum Line from Intake to Where?

I just finished having the supercharger rebuilt after a seal problem with it, and got the car all back together and running except for one vacuum line.
The line is gray and fits into the intake next to the black line going to the brake booster.
It took so long to get the supercharger back that I can't remember where the gray line hooks up. I've pulled it apart again and cannot find any opening to stuff it in. It pulls quite a vacuum as you can imagine considering where it's located. I know it goes somewhere.

I took a picture, but can't get my Blackberry to sync up to my computer.
Any ideas on where it goes?

Are you talking about the line that comes off of the big tube that runs between the throttle body and the air filter?

I remember looking a while back at that hose (#17 in the diagram). I think it goes to the valve cover, right next to the oil fill cap.

Sounds like you're talking about the tube that goes to the MAP sensor that has a black bracket that mounts it to the thermostat housing.

Pictures of Vacuum Line

Here is the line I'm talking about. It may very well have been attached to the thermostat housing. But if it was it must have broken off. I don't see any place for it to attach.

Why would it be there? Unless it is just supposed to be blocked off.
It is so short it can't go very far.

I found a picture of MAP if it's helpful.

Yes, that's where it goes. Apparently I busted it when I was pulling the supercharger off a few weeks ago. I sure couldn't tell that it went on the fitting for the MAP sensor. It broke it off very smoothly.
I'm going to superglue it and see if it holds. If not I can probably get some vacuum hoses to fit on both pieces.

Thanks for the help, I was struggling with it.

I was able to superglue the end of the vacuum tube to the MAP sensor housing. I also siliconed it for good measure than taped it up good with electrical tape.

I installed it and the car runs great. But I'm worried it could snap and my son lives two hours away so I hate that to happen and he get stranded somewhere.

Does anybody know if I can buy that piece from anybody? It's the housing that the MAP sensor next to the thermostat goes into. Also the gray hose that goes to the intake.

I told my son to check with Mini in San Antonio when he goes home. They can probably get it. Just thought there might be someone else out there.

dont worry about it my map is zip tied to that tube. a touch of silicone will hold i in fine. it has a o-ring for a reason.

the bolts on mine had complete rusted through. so i just used 2 zip ties nd has been good for a year now.
