R50/53 Should I order some adjustable control arms?
I say yes, at least for the lower rears. Even with a completely stock setup, my rear camber was extreme with the stock arms, which caused excessive tire wear on the inside of the tire for every day driving.
With the adjustables in now, I still have all the handling I could want, and more normal tire wear too. They give you the flexibility to get the car setup to your driving style, and ultimately could let you get more miles out of your rear tires.

Then you'll definitely need some, otherwise your rear camber is going to be really extreme. You can get by with just the two lower arms.
Without the uppers, the rear toe might end up being off by a little, but it wouldn't really be anything to worry about.

If you are lowering you def will want them, as control arms are cheaper than 2 worn out tires.
Go with the Hsports as we've found them to be the most reliable.

Quick story.
I lowered my JCW R52 using the JCW springs so it was only a 1/2" drop. When I tried to get my alignment right but couldn't. I ordered the Hsports and they are very good quality. I installed them and got my alignment spot on my desired numbers. I took it for a ride and went to dinner with some friends, when I was heading back to my car one of my friends noticed my camber was very severe. I thought he was joking but when I took a closer look it was visibly extreme. I looked under the rear with a flashlight and discovered the lock nuts had worked loose and allowed the adjustment barrel to move freely. Luckily, we were able to jack it up and eyeball adjust it and lock them down again enough for me to get home. I took it back to the shop and they re-aligned it and used locktite on the lock nuts and have not had any issues since. Probably just operator error on the first alignment but I might suggest using locktite for insurance on your install. I also installed IE fixed camber plates on the front and that has proved to be a great setup for me.
