350Z vs MCS

I raced my friend's 05 350Z and i beat him!
We raced and i lost a few times because i forgot to turn DCS? off but when i did, he couldn't catch up ^_^!!!!!!

I can't imagine how my stock car can beat a 300HP V6?

His car is a convertible and auto btw.

(We raced in a closed park's road and nobody was there so don't worry.. )

Automatic transmissions rob power. Torque converter costs a lot in the power:convenience ratio IMHO.

That much power? I guess a almost 1000 lb difference is like having 100 more hp then!

The 350z Automatic in 2005 had 287hp (automatic's had a touch less horsepower than manuals).

I am glad you beat him and am fine with you rubbing it in to your friend

But remember the true 1/4 times between the 2 are probably 1 second apart with the advantage to the Z. So, could be that you were just better off the line, his car has a weak motor, your car has a strong motor, etc.

I had a 2008 350z (manual trans with 306 hp) and I can tell that it was faster than my Mini Cooper.

What I was saying was that the whole point of racing with friends is to beat them and glad you did.

As to why you beat him, could be a bunch of reasons but stock 350z to stock Mini Cooper S, Z will win.

Doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.

I'm not entirely sure how i beat him, but i passed him and he wouldn't catch up 2 times.
The other two times i had DSC on and he flew by for some reason.. ( the road had some leaves etc)
