Biggest thing you got into a Mini with a closed boot?

I'd read in an old Mini2.com post that you could get a 7' 8" surfboard inside with a little room to spare. Yesterday, I decided to go surfing here in NY and find out if I could get a 7' 10" surfboard inside. Folded front passenger seat flat, took off read headrest (per Mini2 post). Bingo!

I was able to fit 4 20" wheel boxes into the car. I was shipping some 18" wheels I sold and was pretty surprised I was able to get them in there. Had to take the rear seats out though.

While not that large, I regularly put two 157cm snowboards, two full bags of gear, and a passenger in front without any sort of issue. Good enough for me !

I managed a 42" flat screen in an R56 with the front seats all the way forward and vertical. Thankful that it was only five miles to get home...

I snowboard, too, so that's good to hear. The Mont Blanc rack I have is good, but I prefer how my Mini looks without it.

Many years and three MINIs ago, the day after I picked up my '05 hardtop, I transported three adult males and three full-sized golf bags 25 miles to a golf tournament. Other than some constrained leg room for the front passengers, everything fit fine. Nothing hanging out the windows or sunroof.

My buddies thought I should turn off the drive and make a grand entrance to the club house on the improved cart path.

Not necessarily big, but these boards were long, at 8' ...

It never occurred to me to take a picture of this Craigslist buy that I hauled home while it was still in the car ...

It was tight, but it fit. Except for the drivers seat, it was all over the place, even under my legs on the floor.

Dean.

People bring their MINIs into service with some crazy things... an entire car's worth of bodywork for example. Or an exhaust minus the mufflers.

8' closet maid shelving. 4 tires and 4 rims in the boxes. 2 8' tall 5 gallon Bamboo thru sunroof. But the best was not in but on. a set of double interior french doors. I only had to drive a mile. It was a sight when I told Home depot guys to load it on my rack.

@Aspen. That's kind of cheating, but I like your style.

Got my 9'4" in the clubman.

Biggest thing in the R53 was a 42" tv. That or 2 Adirondack chairs. But they were plastic.

Four wheels and tires, coilovers, and control arms.
