Car is reaching 7 years old and the factory stripes are not quite as clean as the rest of the car. I have read in how to remove the current stripes but where can i find the same oem stripes to replace them?

 

realoem.com will have the part number, for you I chose a build date of 6/2006 if this isn't correct you can change it but for stripes I don't think it matters.

Those are the viper stripes, I like them too!

 

I do not believe Mini ever offered those stripes as OEM. They are aftermarket. OEM stripes are designed to be installed without cutting, fitting or stretching. The R53 hood with its pronounced hump is quite entertaining to lay stripes over. Find a good wrap shop and have them use a cast prelaminated vinyl such as 3M's 1080 series. Avery and Oracal also have a vinyl specifically designed for vehicles.
Good luck with your stripes, I think the viper stripes on the R53 is a great look. You don't see it very often.

Yea, the Genuine MINI Dual stripes ( viper stripes ) for the hood and trunk look like this. Yours must be aftermarket.

SPORT STRIPES INSTALL PDF ATTACHED

 

I'm thinking of adding the viper stripes in red to my solid Astro Black MCS with no sunroof and need some input. should I do the stripes in hood and tail gate or do I need them on the roof also?
Appreciate any thoughts.

Only thing I will add to the below is to get your bonnet stripes laminated, top and boot stripes don't need it unless they all come that way anyway. I've been thru 2 sets non laminated and they got horribly bug scarred. the latest stripes are laminated, have been on a little over two years and not a mark on them. WMW and S80 are spot on.

 

You must be doing aftermarket for the red on the hood and trunk. If you have a black roof I would do it all the way across. White roof , I don't know. Guess I if you would alternate with Black stripes on the roof on white, but its might be too much. I like it on the Chili Red above.
