Blackout parts?

SO.... i'm going to finally blackout my r53. I ordered some blackout tape and plasti dip for the wheels / gas door / head light / tail lights.

Only thing left is the door handle covers... but i cant find any online anymore! :(
Anyone have any idea where to find some matte black handle covers? Thanks so much guys!!!

I don't know where you could find new ones or covers but if you can remove the existing, you can have them sand blasted and powder coated (they fuse a color to the metal with heat), they would never lose the color. Wouldn't be too expensive either. See if they are easily removable and google a local place to do the work.

The covers still exist but the only black ones I could find are the carbon fiber ones on eBay.

I got my plastic covers from Aesthetic Creations, but their website is dead! So I'm not sure if they are still in business. They fit pretty well, the only downside after 2 years is that they are fading. One day I'll most likely pull them off and either paint or wrap them. If you use plastidip on the door handles, make sure you put enough coats on, as the handles are a ''high traffic'' area and you want it to last.

I just... less than a week ago... JUST did my door handles.

4 coats of plastidip... and the chrome on the edges where I grab are starting to show through already.

I may take it all off and start over. Probably go with many more coats. more like 7 or 8.

Or I may just tape these off and put a few more coats on to see how that helps. I'm feeling a bit lazy, and if it doesn't work out, I can just start over then.

Plasti-dipping the door handles would never work IMHO. Anything that is wearable (Anything where friction is involved) will never last.

I have to agree that powder coating is most certainly the way to go.

You could also think about getting them anodized?
