I really like the new color. I have a concer though about it being a convertible. Usually with a convertible you lose a lot of your rigidity and there is a drop in handling. Does anyone know how much the loss of the hard top has affected the cars characteristics?

Expect a heavier MINI due to reinforcing of the chassis minus the roof plus motors and hardware for the automatic top. Expect less space in the boot and a slightly smaller rear seat area. With no real boost in power and more weight don't expect better handling although we might expect stiffer shock and springs.
I'd say overall it should be OK with a little drop in performance. More so for the MC than the MCS I'd guess.
Lets go take them for a test drive soon!
