R50/53 installed lowerig spings

installed lowerig spings

both me and my friend installed lowering springs on our mini's, we have felted a small shack on hard acceleration low end 1st gear. i remember a thread that talked about this but do not recall the out come

anybody help

Some cars experience vibrations after lowering due to the axle position being changed. It usually happens on cars with more mileage. New/low mileage cars do not have this problem.

If your using H&R springs we've found it to be very common with them. Otherwise check to make sure everything is assembled correctly.

What would cause this with H&R springs and not others?
Their drop is pretty mild compared to others.

The angle of the axles change drastically when you lower it. You can either deal with it or go back to stock height. I have learned to accept it because, well, it just looks 10x better

I had H&R springs on my 2003 R53 with no issues.
I would suspect something is loose such as top strut nut or end link nuts.
Also make sure the springs are turned correctly to be properly aligned in the spring perches (end of springs touching bump in perch).
